Very helpful video. Also it just caught my eye but please clear tabs from chrome because browser tabs often use ram and cache in the background might cause slow down.

Very professional! I am very old school, I am curious if the RP5 can run C64 and Intelevision roms. Need to play some Jumpman for C64 and Triple Action for Intelevison :D

Hey Ryan your videos have sort of convinced me to get one of these but I'm confused which outlet to go with. I'm also in Korea currently and unsure of if I should a coupang shop or buy direct from retroid.... the price difference is insane where ordering from retroid at over 450k won where on coupang it's 283k plus shipping. If I may which outlet did you get yours from?

Where have you found it for so cheap on Coupang? I'd be very skeptical of that. From the official Retroid website it's 219 dollars which is around 318,000 won. I'd recommend using my affiliate link of course ;) Or AliExpress. Really the official website or AliExpress are the only two options I would suggest - I'd never use Korean sites for these types of devices.

What’s the cost in £ or $ for the membership ? Not many will be familiar with Won I don’t think. That seemed an awful lot of research to go into emulating X Box on there.

If you push the Join button it'll tell you the price. I set it to 4990 won which should be around 3 dollars but it seems to be showing as 5. Xbox emulation is still very tricky so I'm hopeful it'll work well in the future because I really liked my Xbox!

The easier way is installing Rocknix to a separate SD card like I showed in a previous video. Xbox emulation isn't as well fleshed out as some other systems so unfortunately it's still quite difficult to emulate

Retro Tech Dad usually does great teardowns of his devices so I'd recommend watching his - I break everything I take apart so I can't unfortunately haha

Yep definitely. I loved my Xbox as a kid so I'm hopeful this is the beginning of it becoming much better in the near future!

@@RyanRetro1 Same I love the Xbox library and have a ton of nostalgia for that console and era. Every other console in existence pretty much I've been able to semi-effectively emulate a decent % of the games I wanted to play from that platform, but OG Xbox is the only one where I think you're legit better off actually picking up a modded OG Xbox lol. I used Xemu for a bit on my 3080 & 5900x editing PC and 90% of what I tried ran like absolute garbage, and the emulator also was insanely unstable and crashed more than anything I've ever used. No thanks

@@b1thearchitect401 Yeah it's a real shame! I've had a similar experience with the PS Vita as well - I never had one so I don't have the same nostalgia as I do for the Xbox but you're much better off just buying an actual one haha

Modern Xboxes are like PCs yes but the original one featured in this video wasn't. The Xbox app in the Play Store is also not related to the original Xbox
