Not going to lie it was going to be my comment. It is why I choose cactus club because I feel it is good pivot into heavy weapons because they attack slow but the cactus club gives passable clearing in front of you.

You're getting +25% damage from the cati clubs heavy bonus, that's where the damage is coming from

If you start doing themed runs with the console I would love to see some limit testing runs. Like giving yourself an unnecessary amount of more trees. Trying to get no enemies to appear. Testing in first few waves how the new hunting trophy stacks. If negative speed reverses controls.

My favorite way to play him Explorer is to go full Chopper and Trees, so that you can just walk around chopping trees and healing a bunch.

Yeah I'm curious about their tag system. In my roguelike, we're using weighted sets and tags for how upgrades can appear, but the categories are manual and more based on feeling than specific stat.

It's just a tag on each item as a string looking in the code so far. But I haven't delved into it fully yet. Rewriting the pickup system instead lol. Modding will explode again hopefully.

Enemys count down must be pretty good with this character. It will still be less money but it is less harmfull than on other runs

I’ve always wondered how a cactus wizard build would do. Scared sausage making the needles light a bunch of enemies on fire. Could be interesting if you start doing themed builds again

Not totally finished with the video but the confusion over the %DMG increase was funny. Cactus Club is heavy = % damage set bonus...

In my perspective, it just more damage since you have the cactus weapon that buffs damage (Heavy = +5% damage I think), and max HP. Picking Primitive Weapon increasing the Max HP for a while ( +5 Max HP each, not see it properly) and picking Heavy Weapon increase % Damage (+5% Damage).

i see this right after i had a stupid crazy tree play through. with flame thrower and 5 extra tree items. i dont remember if you noticed it but the damage change is due to the effect of the weapons.

CHALLENGE RUN : One arm with hatchet, no real gimmick just tried it and found it difficult but funny due to the range problem but DAM you attack fast.

Is there a cap on how many chests can spawn from trees on any given wave, or do chests get rarer the more you get in each wave? I feel like, with all the trees you smash, you should be getting more chests than you actually do.

Good god I hate the explorer. Most overwhelming wave 20 of any of the characters. The SHEER VOLUME of *faster* enemies without the damage perks to deal with them well makes it really hard to deal with.

get luck early with this char, and it will start snowballing with the items dropped from trees you gotta try this char with 100+ luck, i had 7+ items on some waves

There is not a bug for damage on this character. Cactus club is a heave weapon and gets 25% damage with 6 of them. You also took a 12% damage increase after one of your waves as well as some other damage up perks

I dunno. I feel like doing a reversal on what characters are weak at is an interesting video concept. Not on D5, of course. Like, lets make pacifist a massive killing machine or gladiator uses shuriken and cacti.
