The reason Cerberus's attacks were hitting you despite them not normally doing so was because of your -60% projectile speed; explosions and shockwaves count as projectiles for some reason! It's kind of hilarious, and kind of awful. It makes certain attacks linger for juuust enough that they'll consistently clip your wings, especially Chronos' 999 damage smite.

I've really liked the Chaos trinket for the first zone. You keep the boon after you take the trinket off and when you level the trinket it gives you an Epic boon which are quite potent for Chaos. I've had 14/sec mana regen, +65% attack or special, as well as a bunch of just nice to have gathering boons come from it. The cat familiar is amazing, and I recommend working out how to befriend her.

Hey, not sure if anybody mentioned it yet, but I would recommend talking to chaos as much as you can. Without spoiling anything more you can gain something quite interesting through it. Oh and of course thanks for the as always great video!

@32:54 the duration for the (not chaos) Charon buff you got was the next 2 guardians, so Sirens and then Cerberus. It was saying you still had one guardian left before the buff ran out. And the prices were cheaper. Love the really silly builds like this where I can absolutely shred everything. It makes those grindy runs when I get nothing but defensive boons so much easier to bear. Also wanted to add the hex is still bugged in some ways. I've still been avoiding it. For example if you have the axe it will sometimes bug out and switch between your axe strikes and the hex strikes. So when you go to spam the attack you start charging up your axe omega attack instead.

It's a well of charon bonus he bought, twice (not a chaos boon). The first time, he bought a duration bonus for it, so it lasted until after Cerberus, but the second one ran out before he got to a shop.

@@FlamingKetchup Yes I swapped chaos for charon, my bad. I see what you mean, didn't see he had bought a second cost reduction. Thought there was some confusion on the one that was extended for guardians. But I do agree the well of charon shop debuff shouldn't show up at the start of the third level since you don't even have time to get to a shop before it runs out, and almost 90% of the time you don't even get a well.

Just realized Dora is probably a nickname for Deianira, Heracles third wife based only on the fact that Melinoe asked Dora specifically if she knew anything about Hercules in life. But hey, that's just a theory, a game theory.

32:58 You did get the discount though. It counts down when encounters end, not when you leave/enter a room. So it lasted till you beat Cerberus.

8:43 You are clearly outside the blast radius here! Did they change the blast radius and forget to alter the warning circle? Maybe a bug with the circles scaling? Or is Melinoes hitbox a lot larger than it looks? What we are shown being a.....thinner version of a larger goddess would be...weird.

17:49 My only advice for rooms like those: Always pick Hestia first. [SPOILER?] Playing "The Floor is on Fire" when the ENTIRE floor might end up being a fire hazard is....painful.

I haven´t tested all the "angry god attacks" yet, but right now it would be a tough choice between Hestia and Zeus for the worst one. (for me anyway.) Zeus´s is really quick and you need to be constantly on the move.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone upgrade Dark Side once. I feel like it could be an absurd ability with some bonuses.

i did it once. it is not good. the only good aspect of dark side is if you pair it with Appolo's Lucid gain boon to recover mana. Dark side's only real advantage is refunding your mana pool when your invul. The thing is, there is not many weapons that need or want mana refunding because typically, If your weapon is good at spending mana, it wants a powerful hex to spend good bonuses. As a result, the best way to use this boon is reroll for Hermes bonus that says: "While your hex is ready, gain 25% attackspeed, and movement". What makes this good is that 25% attackspeed also counts towards making channeling spells faster. The best paring I found is Axe because Axe has a hammer upgrade where you can do Spin to win move and attack at same time. What this means that you can spend all your mana on Axe, Channel quicker your Axe move and then melee. This doubles dips the bonus of channeling quicker, Meleeing quicker with axe and the refunding mechanic of Dark Side hex.
