I did this hero with Slingshots. Not that slow of a weapon but the way it hits all over the screen was quite nice in the mid levels. In the later levels it seems like it doesn't matter.

i genuinely thing people are wrong when saying characters like this and lucky dont want full pickup. sure, on lucky sometimes you collect material when the enemies havent spawned yet but the consistency has always been broken for me, and even more so for the buccaneer where all you want is like laser guns and infinite range and infinite pick up range. i got there two times with bucanneer and once the range is good you really kill everything offscreen as well.

Why are the weapons at odds with their theme characters? Captain's Sword and Captain is kinda, Hiker and Hiking Stick, too. And now Blunderbuss and Bucaneer 😅

I don't think I've ever seen a situation where your character has 0 weapons. What happens if a brick breaks in round 1? Do you punch or just stand there doing nothing?

The relic does have some sputters, but i got passed it by getting a couple cursed attack speed items and got over normal attack speed anyway, and then got your hoodie for almost 200% attack speed x.x

Keep at it and you’ll find the balance to get you over the hump of the early game. Also don’t be like retro and completely ignore atk speed. while I’m not saying to heavily invest in it, if you can get to -50 passively it will massively help out the viability of your run.
