You mentioned Mad Dog McCree compared to Wild Gunman. In fact, American Laser Games made their own version of Wild Gunman called Fast Draw Showdown. What I remember the most is the final boss in the game, Fast Draw gunman Wes Flowers (RIP) always saying when I draw too soon, "how many times do I have to tell you? Put it BACK in the HOLSTER!"

Imagining a world where Sky Skipper became Nintendo's runaway success, Mr. You! is the face of a multi-million dollar franchise with a theme park and two films to its name, "escort shooters" became a whole genre onto themselves that everyone wanted a piece of the pie of in the 90s, and people on the Internet get into massive debates on whether or not the Joker was written well in the beloved RPG spin-offs.
