great little walk through. Something worth mentioning, if a builder wants to upgrade the sound you don't necessarily have to go to an amp immediately, using a bigger better speaker can do the trick, some older cabinets like the Star Trek upright use a single 6x9 and had fantastic bass. Good brands are Alpine, JBL, Pioneer, Kenwood, Infinity, Harmon Kardon. Their sold as car audio speaker and you get two, enough to mod to cabinets! some even include spk. wire.

@RetroRalph3 жыл бұрын
This was instructions to set it up on an LCD. If you're using a CRT you don't need to use the video converter board. You would connect the R,B,G and Sync directly to the CRT. Does that make sense? I hope this helps.

I didn't need to cut the middle as it's made for the 19" monitor they sell. However, I did have to cut the sides to make it fit into the 1up. I used the old Bezel as a template to help me cut it to size.

Good luck with insurance if you’re house burns down when you cutting power cables when you’re not an electrician. I am not hating, but I checked with my insurance about this subject and they will not cover you.
@jdfan01216 жыл бұрын
HE's talking about cutting an extension cord or similar - not your house wiring ! - the House wiring already has circuit breakers etc. that will protect from anything happening and it's 3 wires that are being connected to the correct places on the Arcade Powersupply - so there is no way anything bad is going to happen ( worse case if you wire it incorrectly you'd possibly trip a beaker switch on the wall outlet you plug into or the circuit breaker box - it's never going to burn a house down !
@limitededition72006 жыл бұрын
JDFan01 like I said good luck getting a payout, and like the insurance company said if you’re playing with live wires and a certified electrician hasn’t done the job basically you’re screwed, of course there every chance nothing will happen, but on that off chance something does, that live wire will burn you’re house down 100% and you’re a fool if you think it wouldn’t. Put it this way I went to buy a display cabinet and the people put there own led stripe lightening that hooks up to the main house power, insurance said “if there not certified electrician you’re not covered” that’s for shitting led strip lighting.
@RetroRalph6 жыл бұрын
Hmmmm... I Think maybe you misunderstood what I was saying. However.... maybe I should be more specific since it could be confusing I suppose. I will make sure to add the Power cord in the video description. Thanks for pointing that out.
@limitededition72006 жыл бұрын
Retro Ralph you’re not an accredited electrician. You plugged in a live wire to power that you did the work on (you crimped on the u plugs) if it shorts out or whatever and cause a fire, then there’s no cover. If that live wire somehow comes out of that power supply would it still have power running though it? If yes, and it burns you’re house down, then you will not be covered by the insurance at all because you did the work, if it’s a no, and no power is running through it then I totally missed something and it’s safe to use this method. If I have totally misunderstood, then I am totally apologizing in advance, but if I haven’t, then it’s an awfully big risk to put you’re house on the line.
@jdfan01216 жыл бұрын
@@limitededition7200 - What you are not understanding is how electrical systems these days are protected from such things happening - IF as you say somehow the power wire were to become lose or come in contact with anything that shorted it out - the GFI or GFCI circuit (Grounf Fault Circuit ( interruptor) would pop within milliseconds shutting off the wall outlet circuit or if you are on old enough wiring to not have GFI circuits the Circuit breaker box would do the same - preventing any fire from occurring (esp. since the plug is using the 3 prong connection which properly earth grounds the wiring so any short that may occur will be disappated properly - So the likely hood of that occurring is pretty much zero ! THe arcade power supplies he is using are designed to be wired in this manner and do not require an electrician come to your home to wire it !
