Like any trike the main issue with mature riders or persons with mobility issues the platform fit to the road is priority #1. Balance is vital. Watching this rider take the turn at slow speed and slight grade makes me wary. Folding would be great for some folks and not needed for others. If frame holds up overtime it looks like a viable alternative to getting off a regular bike (e or not)and back riding. Slower speeds are a must unfortunately . (From a very mature e step thru bike rider)

The Huffy trike costs about the same amount and comes with 2 batteries,DON"T care about folding bit

What's the name of that one? We didn't see in on their website when we went to look just now.

Yes, but what about independent differential? Do you know if the huffy has it?

Does this bike work on dirt roads also?

The knobby tires should work fine on smooth dirt roads, but the trike will have its limitations.

Good Evening, Any fold up "any type" of bicycle is a NO-GO to me. I can't help thinking that a fold up "any metallic" item is a compromise when knowing that a "solid" example exists. And no,... I am not an engineer or a metallurgist. Do have a good evening.

That's a fair concern - and many of our team members had similar reservations to folding frames in our early experiences. After years of testing them though, we're yet to have an issue has the hinges that are used in these frames are quite sturdy. We'd have been happy to have a non-folding frame on the Boca Rev, but we don't feel it is a negative per se.

@@ElectricBikeReport I would put your experiences on a higher plane than my initial thoughts due to the fact that you and your members are "in the field." Do have a very good weekend.

What will TARIFFS do to bikes across-the-board?

That's the big question! We released a video about the subject a couple of months ago (kzbin.info/www/bejne/gYm2Ynygebilfrcfeature=shared) with some predictions, but we'll have to wait and see how things shake out.

A folding frame makes zero sense for a bulky and heavy trike. These bikes are made for people with mobility issues.

It can make it more portable for some people if trying to fit it inside an SUV or smaller truck. It might save a bit of garage space as well. There are some benefits to it. In general though, we don't view the folding capabilities as a primary feature here and we don't have any concerns as the hinge seems pretty sturdy. It happens to fold, but you don't need to fold it either.
