The Guardian Dieties remix is finally here! I started this back in February but just kind of lost interest in Sun/Moon as a whole during that time. However I wanted to finish what I started so I decided to pick it back up and do just that. I'm really happy with the tribal vocals/chants I added in this and I hope you guys like them too. (I imagine the Tapus being the ones doing the singing during their badass theme o3o) So yeah! Here you guys go.

This is my favorite theme from the game and this remix is so perfect, especially the begining.

I like how the song is very bassy, and a lot of the ideas you have here are actually really interesting and help keep tension high. The higher supersaw synth arps are pretty neat, and I like the concept behind a lot of the sound design. This being said, I honestly feel like the mixing is a little weak here -- the higher supersaws don't have much presence, and when they're playing alongside the lower ones, there's a clash in frequencies where they're both competing for attention, and I feel that could've been solved by either an alteration in waveform or maybe just EQing them differently. Another issue is the vocals (which I honestly love their inclusion, I think it was a great idea), but they're submerged to the point where it's tough to be able to fully appreciate them. The rest of the mix takes up so much of the sonic spectrum that even with compression it'd be difficult for the voices to shine through, but I think I've found the culprit. I don't know if it's that you used something with a far mic position or you applied a lot of reverb on the drums, but the lows are bleeding into the mids, and that's why a lot of this is having so much trouble; song mixing is a bit like solving a puzzle, and every part has a specific shape that fits best in a certain place, so having a more dry mix for percussion lets you include other sonic elements without there being too much overlap or competition. Don't get me wrong: The ideas here are really good and I can see what you were going for, and it's not bad at all, I just think that it needs a bit more polish. Overall, good stuff.

Thank you for the constructive criticism Radiarc. I could've/should've/would've spent more time on it but there's alot of reasons why I didn't. I'll keep that in mind and ask some other musicians for more criticism like this one because it was honestly really helpful. I'm still learning lows/mids/highs, so it's a new thing I've just dipped my feet into, hopefully I can improve on this aspect more over time, because it has been something I've noticed is an issue with a lot of my remixes. RetroSpecter see cause when I listened to it, I heard primarily a male's voice, as if it was Tapu Koko chanting. I thought that if it was only his theme and that if there were going to be others, you would make specific chants for each of the Tapus in specific voices. Like how in this one, it sounds quick, almost like lightning. I figured that there would be other versions of their own chants matching their types or something like that idk :P
