I hate how James E. Reilly destroyed Bo’s character during this era!!!! Bo would have never given up on Hope until he knew for sure that the “look-a-like” was indeed not Hope! Just like John in this era, Reilly made Bo a wish-washy male character in order for his plot-driven storyline to proceed!

I can guarantee you that most fans of the show will agree that Reilly ruined characters and a hit of history with his over-the-top writing and in writing characters out-of-character! Instead of trying to insult someone you do not know, maybe show class by the way you respond to someone. The fact that you felt the need to throw insults tells me you are a low information and low intelligence individual as this is merely a chow with fictional characters and you are bothered by someone who has an opinion about fictional characters and a writer of a fictional series!

James E Reilly was the head writer at the time he left to create Passiona but then returned as DAYS head writer from 2003-2006

@@MrCraigblaze - The Mardevil storyline was okay. It went concurrent with the Gina/Hope storyline, which I felt took a backseat to the Mardevil storyline. The second time in 2022 that Marlena turned into the devil was, to me, much much better and funnier. I’ll give Reilly credit for things like Carly being buried alive, bringing in adult Sami, and the Salem Serial Killer storyline, but he messed up Bo & Hope and he broke up Marlena and Roman (Wayne Northrop)! Additionally, Roman would have went after Stefano in New Orleans (1994) where Gina/Hope was held to not only get revenge, but to find out more about those deadly prisms.

I have to say re-watching these episodes. I don’t like all the voiceovers letting us know what the characters are thinking. It’s bad writing.
