There actually is a scene where we see an RD-S1 transform out of car mode in Ignition, in the part where what would eventually become Sparky latches onto Vert's Deora II! I always felt similarly to you, though, in that I never quite understood how you'd place a Drone in a prebuilt car and then have its parts still attach to it- RD-S1s pretty much universally have parts from the RD-06 on their bodies, namely the glass of the windshield and parts of the car's rear cowling/body, which of course doesn't quite match the RD-02s. Overall, what the S1s and L1s do is an interesting sort of design compromise where, rather than transforming outright into the entire car, Drones just make up significant chunks of them. Overall, excellent video! It always really strikes me just how much obvious effort and care went into not just the Drones but both Highway 35 and Acceleracers. The shafting they all got was undeserved.

8:24 What if... here me out, the vehicles the Teku and Metal Maniacs drove into the Drone Headquarters were not destroyed and Kadeem decides to make copies of their cars in drone formats, including his own. Each version would have abilities more than the standard drones. Teku Drone Cars [mainly Battle Spec, Bassline, SpecTyte, and Chicane] - these cars would use the sonar to send other drones and even sweepers to capture the other drivers. In other words, they can use sound that only drones can hear. To defeat these Drones, the drivers would jjust have to be fast enough to take them out before they sound off. Metal Maniac Drone Cars [mainly Jack Hammer, Hollowback, and Piledriver] would be given the stuff the Metal Maniac cars are equipped with. Sacrificing the ability to fire energy blasts to have a shield to allow them to attack drivers directly. They will be the most aggressive drones and attack along side the normal drones, sometimes even acting like shields. To defeat these drones, the drivers would have to attack them from behind. Finally, bringing back the clip cars from World Race with the ability of flight. These versions would have the wings, but also the jets. The vehicles would be able to fly and drop stuff on the track to force drivers to evade, but also can evade ground based obstacles. They would however be vulnerable to be struck out of the air and wouldn't be able to avoid obstacles normally driving cars wouldn't deal with, or if tight spaces are a thing, they are useless in. Similar to how Vert and the others dealt with them in the world race, Grab them and swing them into an obstacle, or have them crash into each other and they are toast. Kadeems car was seemingly destroyed, but what if it was rebuilt. Krazy 8 - Drone edition, would have the Teku sound to jumble enemy drivers tech, making it hard to hear others, The Metal Maniac weaponry, Drone energy blasts, His vehicles Dune Ratz signature ability, Clip Drones ability of flight, and be able to take more hits than a normal drone. A more durable Drone Car. Gelorum' s car easily is a fairly durable car, so who is to say Kadeem wouldn't have the same durability.
