tezla.. yikes. The unethical protagonist as said by "NOLOAF". This video essay explores and infs the root cause of his unethical measures, through tezlas struggle to find a balance between his pursuit for the acclerons against his morality.

I can understand Tezla to a certain extent: When yo have an ideal/goal worth dedicating your life for, morality sooner or later becomes a hindrance in achieving said goal and more often 5han not a mere joke if you begin to question it.

Honestly, Tesla is one of my absolute favorite characters because he was on a constant negative change arc, a nice contrast to everyone else's positive change arcs. I like how he claims to be against the drones, but he treats his drivers just like Gelorum does her drones, not caring what happens to them and only wants the Accelechargers. It leads to that really good moment where he's willing to blow himself up with the Acceledrome in order to let the drivers escape and destroy the drones as a means to atone for his sins, so to speak. We need more flawed heroes like Tezla, where they're not too unlike their villain.

If Dr. Tezla wasnt so selfish and delusional, It would have actually helped him out on the end. The Drivers would have more confidence to win races and Accelechargers if they knew alot more about what was going on, but thanks to Tezla, (even though he knows everything about what they are doing) didnt care to show the drivers anything, and pretended to not know anything. Also I wanted to say awsome video! Im glade you made this one. I was wondering when you we're going to do Tezla next. Perfect timing!

Unfortunatelly Acceleracers 5 has canceled. I just want to know how Tezla's character change after fourth movie. As we can see he can regain his humanity at the end of the movie (when he want to explode Acceledrome). I want to know how he treat his driver after that. I want to know how long he have his humanity. Because I predicted the plot if fifth movie isn't canceled, Tezla will meet with Silencerz. And Silencerz already have the wheel. Will his humanity gone again after he know the Silenzerz have the wheel (and there even fourth circle, and I'm sure Tezla must be surprise about this) ? I don't know. Maybe we all don't know.

I always felt that Tezla was simply 'terrified' of the drones taking over/ending the world if they achieve this sort of 'greater power' if they win. Due to this stress/overbearing pressure, and the nightmares/inability to race himself due to injury, he fears that 'nobody' can save the world if these races are not serious. To me, that's why he refrained from sharing information/being fully honest, because then his 'last hope' might back out and the drones are gonna race regardless. But maybe he doesn't want to threaten/terrify all the other drivers with 'the end of the world' because they'll really think he's lost his mind. Tezla is def a complex character and he's been one of my fave's/most memorable from the start. I'm not sure that he doesn't care about people, he's just overcome by his fears of the drones succeeding and is willing to do anything and everything to prevent his nightmare from coming true. If he had more backstory, maybe he has lost other things in the past/experienced massive failure. (Like why is he just out in the middle of no where building these cars? Maybe he was fired/divorced because his ideas were overbearing to others...) but I dunno. Maybe he does have more backstory elsewhere. I really like that Tezla isn't fully good or fully bad and the drivers questions him. He has to adapt to their 'needs' to keep them racing for him, it isn't about money or him owing anyone. To them it could be about winning at first, but to Tezla, it's life or death. Seeing the accelerons is of course part of the picture, but I didn't see it as the source of his issues until closer to the end. That's sort of where he becomes the stereotype scientist, 'I'll sacrifice everything to achieve what I've worked for.'

I always assumed it was both fear and obsession with finding the accelerons either because the accelerons can rescue them from the drones and/or because he's a scientist and findings an alien race that can build these race tracks in these realms is friggen awesome for humanity and tech.
