Jorge Gonzalez. My heart aches for you both. Nicole was the heart of our family as we cared for her during her time with us. My tears come down as you say you would love to have your daughter hug you as we did. I learned so much from Nicole that she made me the best father and person. We fought with Nicole until the day she took her last breath and went home with the Lord. We cherished every moment with her and today i miss her so much more. God bless you and your families.

Just to be exact, for people looking for information on this syndrome: It's not exclusively though mostly girls, the first onset can occur later than 2 years of age, for most children with Rett, it will be as they say though.

Have you tried feeding breast milk exclusively even later in life. If the body can't make a protein, then just giving your child that protein as a supplement should work. If it doesn't hit until after weaning, it's possible that the protein that they lack is included in breast milk.
