I love this culture man. This was a refreshing documentary that brought shine to so many other aspects of our scene, that are recently more likely to get forgotten about. It brought the heat, personal stories/ Egos, history and great perspective. I stand with what palmer said at the end.! I hope RED BULL will bring LOTF back more often, maybe every other year to keep it exciting. 2 years can change this game a lot! Peace yall - Noindex

this is great stuff. you guys need to do an in depth documentary. yes, breaking is documented in different forms and outlets and mediums and such, but most of those are indie (tho historic and very important to the culture), a red bull stamp on a docu-series of sorts would definitely be major.

This was a cool trip down memory lane, and I like that they opened it up to the world, even seeing foreign b-boys like Wigor just hanging out enjoying the show. But the lineup was a bit of a letdown for me. The essence of Lords of the Floor was supposed to be the top 2 members of _actual_ crews facing off. Yet they just resorted to throwing some random dancers from the Red Bull BC One circuit together to fill out the brackets. Are you honestly telling me that with access to the entire world of breaking, you couldn't find enough top level crews with 2 people to spare so we don't have to see mashups with no chemistry like Data/Gravity or Stripes/Menno? I mean Menno and India were both in this dancing with random people, but they're in the same crew. Make it make sense.

Gravity and data came in as a crew together and got through qualifiers. Stripes was supposed to come with Fleau as Sweet Technique, but Fleau got injured so Menno stepped up. India and Logistix are both in BC one allstars, and Victor and El Niño repped squadron. Almost all the crews, whether through invites or winning qualifiers, were all dancers that rep or dance together in the same crew or enter in other events together. Look at the brackets, they say their crew names there.

@@Floorslug I know this gets kinda muddy with people frequently dancing with multiple crews, like Luigi battles with Squadron a lot but is primarily part of Skill Methodz. Still there were examples of pairs who aren't part of the same crews. I understand that Stripes/Menno wasn't planned. But it sounds like Data and Gravity just teamed up for this. And Ami and Taisuke are both from different crews. I do know Style Vale Tudo is a Japanese crew but I'm not exactly sure on the membership, maybe there's some crossover. But I don't count any pairings of Red Bull BC One All-Stars as a crew, as this is precisely my point of just pulling from their ever growing ever changing stable of dancers. In that sense I don't count Ami/Taisuke, or Shigekix/Issin, India/Logistix as actual crews. But yes, most of the brackets were filled out with actual established crews. I just don't understand why there needed to be any makeshift crews at all given what the organizers had to pull from. It was an enjoyable event nonetheless. Just a small point of criticism.
