Glad to see you were able to escape the new job and get to the woods for some “relaxation”, and gear testing!

Hi Chris, actually this is filmed about a month and a half ago or more. I haven't been able to get away as I wish to. But, I am going out on Tuesday. Hooray! Yeah, great new gear and very versatile. That day a thunderstorm overtook the area and our flash flood warnings. It was cool to have the pack cover but my whole body out soaked, no worries there because I was on my way to the Rail and home. Thanks for visiting mate!

@TheLoreofBushcraft3 жыл бұрын
Hi, yeah it's a great mess kit with plenty of features and capabilities. The diminished beard was a mistake shaving whilst guard fell off. :( The fringe is that I look younger.

I thank you, this was filmed perhaps 7 weeks ago, I've been busy at my new job so I haven't been able to get out. The the shave was a mistake when the guard fell off, but at least I do look younger. 😊

Another good video! I love your wooden cup. Beautiful! I also have a knife like the one you were using to prepare your food. I watch another camper who uses a chest pack like yours. And, I was right at home with the German mess kit. I do WW II re-enacting as a deutscher soldten in the 2nd Panzer Division. I have a couple of those mess kits. Done a lot of camping in the field, WW II style, year round. Love the area you camp in. Looking forward to watching more of your vids. 😊

Hi there Stephen, thanks, the Kuska cup is one of my favourite pieces of equipment because it’s so versatile. The knife, is a great item. I would love to see your reenactments because I am a huge history buff who specialises in World War II. I’ve been studying it for more than 40 years now. It’s one of the most significant things that has happened to us as humans .The Mess Kit is a great one with everything you need self-contained. You saw the amount of dishes I was able to do with it. Well, I’m glad to have a new friend in you Steven and I will continue to look forward to your comments. You can also message me on Instagram and we can have a conversation. Cheers

Hi Paul, thanks so much man! Yeah, it's amazing how many years it takes off one's face. It happened by mistake during trimming, but at least there's a side benefit to it. Actions speak louder than words 🤣 Cheers mate!

Just a thought....please keep em coming. Been dieing for some dirt time but a knee injury has had me sidelined for 5 weeks now, vids like yours have kept me motivated. Thank you
@TheLoreofBushcraft3 жыл бұрын
Hi Jimmy, I have a bio on my channel, as well as on my website, you can also message me on Instagram to carry a conversation. The thing is, I honestly go to the woods to Smooth It. I was reluctant to have a KZbin channel because I am content just hanging out in the woods all by myself. Yet, people convinced me to share my adventures. My compromise was that I wasn't going to be a like a TV host and wanted it to be as authentic as possible and unscripted, a window looking into my world, but it's also a great way to relive the experience. So now I go out there, film what I'm doing and then annotate it afterwards, it's less invasive than talking to a camera. Reach out to me on Instagram if you're on it or email me at theloreofbushcraft@gmail.com cheers!

I understand how you feel, just a few months ago I had knee surgery for a torn meniscus, I have Osteoarthritis, and had ACL issues. That's why it's great to have trekking poles or a staff. I'm all healed up now and back to running marathons, ultra marathons and races (not competitively) the challenge is to myself. I hope that you heal soon and can get out there. 💪
@jimmydunlap743 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for the kind words! Glad you are healed up and ready to go. Besides inotial sprain I have no idea what is wrong with my knee. I hzd x-rays done but it has gotten progressively worse. I definitely know what you meen about trekking poles, I live staying upright! The insult to injury is I have a bunch of new gear to test out on a planned hike and camp at the Linville Gorge! Stay safe out there my friend.
