Wolfenstein 2009 is imho the best of the series. Semi-open world, the best fun weapons, the most richful amount of all sort of enemies, lots of exploring and awesome Magic usage mixed with Sci-Fi guns. Too bad modern games no longer try to be oroginal... :(

i am currently replaying it and im at the mission from 4 hours in ur video. i had to replay it to see wether my nostalgia for this game was biased. but no its not, its the best game EVER created period, its so incredibly fun and you have to actually use your brain on many parts. Not just that, playing this on max difficulty is nearly impossible. i save about 5x in a mission because finishing a a full mission on max difficulty is incredibly hard, and this is coming from someone who plays csgo on high level and games for 10+ years xx

I remember when I first played this game, it was in winter 2003 and I was 23 yrs old. It was bloody cold and the game's climate and epic views got more cold. The game is completely scary too because that what Id software was all about and not to mention Doom. Machine games and Bethesda (2014 - Present) sequels lack the suspense and the storyline. Lots of sound effects that give you headache.

This is one of the best games it has the old world buildings of Germany 🇩🇪 and 1930 style vehicles . It needs to be be recreated higher detail and more hidden secrets and secrets an more building entries with real life like version but the same game. It would become a big hit!

Kill the final Boss without weapons... lure him into the cave entrance you came out of. While he is in the doorway, run past him back outside. The entrance will collapse, killing him.

The reason why RTCW was such a great game lies in a perfect balance. Indiana Jones styled adventure, stopping nazis from reaching ancient dark powers. Also big variety in levels and enemies: castle, village, dark casle, church, factories, military base, airfield, manors and so on. While gameplay in the Bethesda era wolfenstein games is very good, the main theme throughout all of them is a weird torture of all mankind: nazis, prisoners and even BJ himself is just being tortured and mutilated and thats the main plot of all newer wolfenstein games. I mean shooting is fun, but the levels doesnt have that much variety. But the main thing i have with those newer games is the violence for the sake of violence. Its sadomasochistic paradise.

I agree with you totally, RTCW is an absolute classic because of the balance you speak of....every single sequel skews the balance away from the historical WW2 aspect and focuses more on the supernatural/monsters--they seem to forget that at its heart RTCW is a WW2 FPS, not a science fiction FPS like the Half Life series or Doom. I'd love to see an updated version of RTCW that stayed true to the original WW2 aspects.
