Oh, you have no idea how slow of a pace an experience you're going to have as a wizard. The most recent expansion, our spells and AA got a tremendous boost. Over time they added AAs for unresistable AE snare, gave us an AA lower element that adds an addition -95 to fire/ice (which oddly enough stacks with the flux staff debuff), gave us in insta-cast ice-based root. Basically everything you could possibly want that would have fixed wizards in original EQ. But just starting on a basic 1-60 run on project 99 or some other on a TLP live server... no. It's all the original resist hell, running out of mana forever, being an utter charity case in pick-up groups (if you ever even managed to find one), and just plain lone wizard experience. The problem with wizards that no other class has is we turn mana into damage. That's it. Other casters come with utility to make melee stronger, they have a pet, they have some kind of roll in a group that gives them other options to contribute, etc. As long as EQ magic is based on the horrible system it's based on, we are the only class that is at total and complete mercy to it. We have one job, and they refused to give us any tools to accomplish it. It basically boils down to: Out of mana? Go sit in the corner. Your problem, not mine.

@@CodeguruX Hey Code, That is an amazing amount of information you have just given, I had no idea this level of depth was involved. Really does suck that wizards are in a bit of a pickle like that. Thank you so much man, I really appreciate you willing to tell me all this instead of just being like some viewers in the past and just heckling insults about things I would’ve had no idea about, means a lot dude.
