Mark, there's actually, believe it or not, a true ending to the game. The one you got was the alternate ending which is the bad end. You have to find all three keys while trying to evade the killer. I would love for you to play this again to get to the true ending and see your view or input on the true ending and what you want to see in the game once it fully releases. I hope Mark see's this.

That South Park Kid Um... *grabs nearby polehammer* What's a Slipknot? I actually don't know. Don't even think about trying to kill me for not knowing, polearms are swift in the hands of experienced warriors and strike with the wrath of a thousand starving rabid bears. This baby here can peel plate off a knight with the beak, pierce his pate with the dag, and make the soft, red insides go squish with the mallet. Langets run the length of the thick, tapered oaken haft, balancing it and making it nigh impossible to disable it. These things can take a halberd swing with only temporary cosmetic damage. Oh, and yes, I have experience both with and against such polearms. Now, I think an answer is in order?

The reason why the low resolution, the VHS and old style of the game works is because the game is settled in 1987. If you know the story that is what makes the game even more scarier than it already is. If you collect all the papers, the story behind this game is that there was once an orphanage called The Sunshine Children's Orphanage, made by Russell Mort (Which you can kinda see that it was, due to the wallpaper in the green room where there's playing children on it and the child running down the hallways). The building eventually got forfeited to the state and Russell Mort commited suicide after he got accused of child abuse (could also well be child molestation), but the building caught fire in 1975. What was left of the building was converted into the Branden Sawmill. 6 years later in 1981, the Branden Sawmill got closed down due to many accidents happening there. But there were still doubts whether or not the place would be leased to the state park commission due to suspicions of it being haunted. One year later in 1982, Mason C. Sargent and Laurie Summers were also possibly abducted from their camps, probably by the Powerdrill killer and 3 years later after that in 1985, twelve campers disappeared and a little girl, but they weren't found. What's highly possible is that the Powerdrill killer was once an orphan due to him not being wanted anymore due to his handicap or disorder (the muffled speech, pig-like screams and muffled calls) and got placed in The Sunshine's Children's Orphanage. He probably got molested or raped by Russell and was traumatized from that, but got placed somewhere else when the building was forfeited to the state. Later though when the place was transformed into the Branden Sawmill and the killer was an adult, he worked there and tempered with the stuff (maybe also the powerdrill, hence why he is called the powerdrill massacre and can run around with it whenever and how long he wants) to get people away (if they noticed things were a little off with him). But he also did it to make it less suspicious that he kept 12 people and a child in what I think was a hidden place somewhere in the sawmill people never knew about. When the place got closed due to what's debated about a pattern of nearly criminal negligence in an effort to cut costs or industrial sabotage for accidents caused by faulty equipment, the killer had the place all by himself and that's where he did his thing you see in the game. Due to what has happened to the killer in the past, he abducts people, put them in cages (the cages in the green room) and either molests or rape them (based on the flashes of half naked or naked people, you being half or completely naked in the cage and the dead body you see on the bed with the teddybear and the shirt where your character comments on with: ''Something horrible happened in this bed'') before killing them with the drill. Before doing all these things though, I think he does try to communicate with you and make you calm down before your demise by playing the music box. Because when you're in the cage and your character is crying, he plays the music box, but because (if you're thinking the character would be hysterical when being in there) your character won't stop crying or atleast calm down, the killer gets frustrated with you and kills you. It could also be something that Russell played the music box when the Powerdrill killer got molested or raped in order to calm him and other children down and used that again for the people he does the same with.

I assume that the killer was once an orphan because he wasn't wanted due to a handicap or something else he had (the muffled speech and the pig-like screaming) and was placed in The Sunshine's Children Orphanage. The killer possibly got molested or raped but was placed somewhere else after Russell Mort commited suicide and the place got forfeited to the state. However, when he was older and the place was changed into the sawmill, he worked there and tempered with the stuff (probably the powerdrill as well, hence why he's the powerdrill massacre) to get the people away, but also to make it less suspicious (if they saw things were off with him) that he abducted and kept 12 people and a child there in what I think is a hidden place the people never knew about. When the place got closed, he had the place for himself and that's where he did his thing you see in the game. Due to the trauma he had from what has been done to him in the past, he abducts people, put them in the cages (what you see in the green room) and either molest or rape them (based on the flashes you see of half naked or naked people, you being half naked or completely naked in the cage and the dead body you see on the bed with the teddybear and shirt where your character comments on with: ''Something horrible happened in this bed'') before killing them with the drill. But, before doing so, he does try to communicate with the main character. I think it's just to sooth her or silence her before her demise (even though he can't talk). Because when the main character is crying (and I assume if we're going to be literal you would be hysterical), he directly walks towards a music box and plays it. But probably because she won't stop crying and make too much noise, he gets frustrated and kills her.

I find it so interesting the way this game and Night Watch are connected and Night Shift and Stay Out of the House are connected. I think it really adds to the atmosphere of the creepiness that the games are connected. So it makes you think more how many people these killers have killed and how they have different stories but all the victims and killers still have something in common. In all the games the victims seem to have something in common with one another and the killers both have interesting backstories as to why they are the way they are. It's really interesting the way Puppet Combo puts together their games and I love it.

Mark, I might have some good news for you. Friday the 13th The Game will be Multiplayer only AT FIRST, but it will later support single player with AI bot NPCs. (or so the developers plan... with a different game mode like Hitman, so I've been told) 13:05 Wow, that was a quick flash of a drawing of a naked crouching... woman laying over her knees on the floor with her hair flowing out onto the floor like a shampoo commercial (or she's in motion and not laying on the floor at all). She has a strange bunch of pixels in the shape of a rectangle next to her right elbow. 13:20 This time it was... I think the same woman, but laying on her back. You could only see her from the chest up, and she was clutching her knees to her chest while looking to the lower left corner of the screen. 14:30 Same woman laying on her stomach while propping her head up with her right arm. The strange pixels shape is in this one too (didn't notice it in the other one) 14:39 OK, that one is NSFW... she's basically spread eagle laying on the ground with all her bits out. Yep, singleplayer is said to be similar to the Hitman games where there will be a set of counselors who go about routines and don't know you are there. Actually Mark did enjoy it for the first three quarters of that series and found it so scary that he cried at one point. The problem stems from the HOURS of gameplay he put into it and the lack of anything new along with us pushing him to beat the game. Vanish is actually quite a good game with legit fears (I personally quite liked the mechanic of how the MC's fear was translated through his breathing and vision focusing in thus giving us the sense of impending danger) The noises though mostly nothing does keep us on edge and the mechanics of the game allow for a quick sprint away if the mole man was chasing you and if you play correctly it is easy to avoid the mole man. The major flaws of the game was the fact that it was pretty much up to random chance to get the right rooms. Like it really would be great if the developers would've provided some meaning to the notes like there are paths you can take that don't have pipes, that the arrows on the walls and the maps in some way do help the player navigate through the ever changing map of Vanish, just something to allow the player to feel as though they are progressing instead of going around in circles till random chance gives them the room they are looking for. Vanish is a good game when played in moderation, Mark ended up hating it because he overplayed it and felt forced to play it. Think of it like Flappy Bird, it can be fun for a short while but playing it for hours not to mention feeling as though you are being forced to play it, it wouldn't take long for you to begin hating it.Vanish was quite scary with a decent blend of atmosphere and jump scares but again like any horror game that is played for hours and you've seen all the scares along with being angry and not immersed like Mark was, Those scares are just not at all effective anymore.But yeah, there's my little tid-bit on that, I STILL WANT TO SEE MARK PLAY MORE OF THIS THOUGH AND PROBABLY EVEN BEAT IT!!!

Mark has beat the hardest difficulty on practically every horror game that he has put his mind to. It's kinda lame that he refuses to finish this one. I have to give him credit for trying because this is a very difficult game. A free roaming, unpredictable, very powerful enemy that you can barely escape from and whose attacks are inescapable and cannot be recovered from. Hard, I know, but still possible. Remember when the original FNAF came out and everyone thought 20/20 was damn near impossible for a while? Same thing with this. With the right strategy and a LOT of patience, Mark could beat it.

SlammyJammies To be fair, FNaF still works on a specific set of rules and functions. Within a very short amount of time the game loses most, if not all, of its ability to scare the player or even the viewers. In Powerdrill Massacre, the design was built just a little more intelligently, and insideously. You roam about freely in an abandoned building, locked from the outside. You need 3 randomly generated keys to escape. Have fun trying to find them while some shrieking, mind-broken killer chases you for sport in this claustrophobic network of tunnels that only grant enough space for people to run through, single file. You may as well ask a field rabbit how it feels to be cornered by the same murderous stray dog that killed all his bunny friends. I'm not sure how you thought these two games had like, anything in common. Like at all.

Honestly, Power Drill Massacre is one of the very few Horror Games that's ever legitimately scared the Hell out of me. It kinda reminds me of Friday The 13th -- Friday The 13th & The Grudge are everything. -- and a tad bit of Wrong Turn 6. ... The thought of those 2 Films being combined is actually quite terrifying. I spent half the video looking for _anyone_ to get the powerdrill reference. . . but in vain. The powerdrill is a reference to the Slumber Party Massacre films, a a campy murderhouse trilogy set and made in the 80's, where the killer(s) weapon of choice is a powerdrill to murder the victims. ( it's been a *while* since I've watched the movies, so forgive any errors on my part if you're reading this ) The first film was a little more serious, had its camp moments, but was definitely out to scare you. The killer was an escaped mental patient who, if I recall, picked up the powerdrill by chance and began using it. He fixated on a group of girls from the local highschool who were holding a slumber party the coming night. He ended up killing nearly everyone but the Final Girl and her little sister, including a pair of scuts that were peeping on the girls. The second movie takes place around. . . 6 months to a year later, I think? The Final Girl ends up sectioned and her sister is the Protagonist now. She begins having weird dreams of a rockabilly with a guitar-powerdrill who has set his sights on her and her sister. By that alone, you can tell this one is a load more camp than the first. The killer ( dubbed Driller Killer ) is a bloody LOON. He breaks the fourth wall, does an entire song and dance before finishing off a victim, and essentially makes a music video of the final chase. && tbh. . . it's my favourite of all these madhouse reasons. The third installment is quite forgettable, honestly. I don't remember a good bit of it, but they made it more of a ' Clued, who is it ? ' slasher, and it doesn't have a charismatic antagonist or catchy tune to fall back on. Still, I recommend any horror fan to watch it after the others. I'd say this game draws on the Friday the 13th and Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchises for inspiration as well, but the powerdrill reference is my favourite simply because SPM isn't as popular/well known as the former two. Really helps give the game that 80's feel.

I can't believe this is already three years old. I don't remember if I watched the live stream but I did watch this after it was made into a regular video. Time is a funny thing But also, I love this game. One of the things I think horror movies and video games miss is atmosphere, and this game has that. And since the graphics look old, it actually adds to the overall creepiness. Think of Sinister for example. The videos Ellison watches were recorded with a Super 8 camera, making them feel old and realistic and that's why they're scary. Elli Ward well for one he missed the fact that he got hacking 2 so he could've gone and unlocked the safe in the room behind him, and he also missed the fact that he could craft Neuromods despite looking at the fabricator board for 30 seconds. He also misses so many bits of info that he skims right over. But, as I said, he's having fun so it's ok. Besides, he has to commentate so I understand if he misses some stuff
