I think the reason this is popular is because it gives you the catharsis of playing the chaos and pure evil of a villain character, but at the end of the day you’re just a goose, so you can’t do enough real actual harm to ruin the experience with heavy handed questions of morality and the feeling that you shouldn’t be doing this.

Biz Lemke Yeah, I think of evil as being selfish and having a disregard for others, and neutral as being just pure spontaneity, good or bad. I don’t think the goose gets any greater joy than being a pain in the ass. 😂

This is a topic you could really get into some depth on, and at the core of it is whether choatic vs lawful should really be a moral axis in its own right. There's no question that Markiplier plays as goosezilla, clearly a chaotic evil character, but I hardly think it's fair to use his character to describe the game itself. At it's heart, the game paints the goose as a trickster... Which really is chaotic neutral... It's only when you assign motive that good vs evil really comes into play imo. If he's doing it to be a pita, evil still seems a bit strong, but I could see it. I just think the game is saying that's just what geese do... Who knows why
