a lot of WW II history to Prudence Island as well. The US Govt established a Torpedo Test Range that ran north to south, along the west side of Prudence. That was where most of the testing of new torpedo designs took place during the WW II period. There was also a fleet of wooden hull Mine Sweepers that worked that area. When I lived and boated Narragansett Bay, I did a fair amount of diving and recovered a lot of US Navy memorablia. Prudence is a beautiful island to explore, and I was lucky enuf to have friends who lived on the island, so it always provided a base camp. ENJOYING YOUR VIDEOS !!

I hope you had a chance to visit the Herreshoff museum in Bristol. I understand the concern about Lyme disease, but the ticks that spread it are found throughout the northeast. I picked up my case in Maryland. It's important to wear repellant whenever you are in tall grass or bush.

We walked through part of the museum to chat with the folks in the office. It was pretty incredible to see all of those hulls! We hope to make it back there sometime in the near future.

Excellent job again! If you go to Prudence Island again there is a good anchorage on the south side of the island with great safe from deer tick trails. You just need the winds out of the North which is unlikely for the summer. As for Bristol, ya you get bounced around there. I'd be a little nervous about a 600lb mooring as well. Glad the boat was alright.
