Hi Beno, in Poland, there is a place called Warszawa Grochów. There is a railway yard there and it is full of left out abandoned carriages from PKP intercity, I suggest you go there as there are so many carriages to explore as they are all connected together!

in most of the UK, a full size tube of Pringles go for about £1.50 average (with some le-way) with around £2.50 - £3.50 being the normal price you find in a supermarket. Obviously this can often be higher in London, and is usually higher in the rip-off shops like WHSmith in railway stations and airports.

JR uses similar type of platform doors at some stations in Japan.

When you will be in Poland again, try to find some old ZREMB lifts. You can find them in old tower blocks from the soviet era. However they are literally being exterminated nowadays, so there might be not many left. You will surely find them in smaller cities, like Tarnów, Rzeszów, Lublin and such. Every city with an area of 70-120 square km and population of around 100 thousand will surely have those old spooky lifts. Some already have new motors with inverters (those used to be relay controlled lifts) but the cabins and shafts are still old and creepy. I'd really like to see you surf one of those :)

Hello Beno. I am actually a French Subscriber and I found some lift adventure from you in my country. Well you missed some other cities: Nice, Lyon and Marseille (for Marseille you can go or not since there's some gang problems ^^'). I found out that some people made some lift videos in these cities but... There's not much of these videos actually. I counted like only 10 videos per city from some channels. That would be great to visit, specially for Lyon. The city has a Business Center like in Paris with Le Quartier de la Défense. Thanks for reading this and have a nice day from France.

Great old lifts, and lift city looks fantastic, especially that massive lift. Bargain food. And I think that platform barrier is a great idea.

There's always an abandoned mop in a bucket in these countries, just to remind us all that no matter how fancy pants the place ostensibly is, old habits die hard.

I wonder why that one button in the Otis lifts had a picture of what looks like a bull head next to it... Some indicator for a fancy steakhouse?

Hello from Bulgaria .The elevators have a chip because of people who don't want to pay.Many people in the apartment blocks who live on the lower floors.They refuse to pay for an elevator with the argument that they don't need it, but they use it anyway.For this, each family receives a certain number of trips by paying.May I ask how you find such cheap flights?

RyanAir

@@SejLifts I know about them. But the guy gets the tickets at super low prices.
@benolifts2 жыл бұрын
@@stargate12A This is because I don't have many set dates when I can't travel. I can travel pretty much anytime. Also, I don't plan where I want to travel to, I travel anywhere. This means that I can take the flights that Ryanair's algorithm decides to make cheap to entice people to their website. Ryanair offers these very cheap flights to make themselves look cheap. But for a typical person, they will find it hard to ever book the very cheap flights, because they will only have certain dates they can travel and will have a destination that they want to travel to. Ryanair is a business, they want people to come to them looking for the advertised cheap flights, but then end up paying a lot more (due to not making the date of the cheap flight, plus the high cost of taking a bag, plus the extra charges for almost everything). It costs RyanAir about £8,000 to make a flight. There are 180 seats, but assuming that 160 people buy a ticket, thats 8000/160 = £50 per person. So the people who book late pay over £100. Most people will pay on average £35. A lot of people pay for bags, changes of flight, and overpriced food on board. So Ryanair has room set a few tickets at £10 (sometimes even £5) as the advertising benefit (which is almost bait and switch, but not quite) out ways the loss from these tickets, plus most people who get the cheap tickets will still be paying some form of extra charge. To put it simply, I am the annoying person who has scheduled my entire month around making the cheap tickets. Ryanair doesn't profit from me, and all the other passengers fund my cheap travel. I only can do this as I don't have other commitments and because I have put making the cheap tickets as my highest priority beyond any other activity I may do in the month.

Those platform doors are really strange and do look like shutters. And I’ve been on those lifts that have manual doors.

Looks like they're entirely made of string, too. At that point you have to question whether these things are of use at all. Personally I dislike platform doors and wish they wouldn't ruin our train networks.
