I got lucky with Parasites and Permanent Malfunctions , especially 25% not too use Consumable, was a must for this run. and had it the entire run, came in clutch so many times and made it possible for my aggressive playstyle.

You're the true rank 1 right now imo. I saw some guy broke 1 billion today and I knew something was fishy and sure enough the top 3 scores are all using that cheap boring playstyle with the epd and I agree that shit ruined the leaderboard and any desire I had to return to this game. I hope they refresh the scores again and disable the epd from the tower but that'll likely never happen.

@@xVStee7ernationVx strong agree. It’s such a coincidence I had a hunch something was gonna happen and I suddenly wanted to watch some Returnal (that’s what brought me here a week ago). And there we go, it’s now on PC. But the same issues still apply - if they don’t fix this shit, I don’t feel like jumping in. What’s worse it’s very likely the leaderboards are cross platform. But I sure do hope they tweak the balance, triple check for cheap hiding spots and add some cooldown to the grapple. If you want a competitive experience, make it fair and accessible for everyone, not catered to a few guys who love to break things and ruin the fun.

@@t-blade I am at least 70% sure they will make rebalances too tower once it releases on PC, they most likely have internal data on what players do in tower and these new broken scores are probably showing them crazy stats once posted. so these asswipes can enjoy those shity scores while they last

The "TOP" three currently all use the EPD "strat" the reason why its cheap is the gun does damage over time ( this helps keep the multibar from going down without having to constantly shoot at targets and the gun also automatically slows down enemy's that are caught in the webbs) combined this with tenderil pod, you can pretty much slow enemy's down big time. so basically in the high phases you can literally just shoot,hide,hide,shoot,hide, combined with grapple that has no cooldown/ you can pretty much be untouchable. it all really comes down too when you get sick of playing, using this method. its very lame and it requires NO skill. My run was 11 hours and that was going balls too the wall with no hiding, except mostly for those tank looking guys cause the health is so much. basically wanting number 1 forces you to play cheap like this and takes days and hours to achieved, nobody has that time unless you have no life and live in your mothers basement.

Can I ask why you chose to use dreadbound? I’m fairly new to the game and don’t understand all the of the most intricate mechanics. Tier 3 explosive + expanding shards are insanely strong and if you have good aim there's almost no down time in your DPS

Amazing. Why didn't you use 9999+ obolites on shopping spree at broken fabricators? Wouldn't you get hundreds of shieldsand other consumables? I understand that shield consumable capacity is 5, but you can immediately use them - and the shields stack - not sure about the stacked limit though.

Not to downplay the skills involved in his runs, but I saw the snippets (I don’t even see why he’d not record longer sessions) and was mostly just impressed… well, by his grappling. Lol. Heck even one of the comments on his 2-minute clip said “The grappling hook moves look like Al” and I knew it was a big deal in his runs. Anyway just showing big appreciation for your run, if there was one thing that motivates me to actually give this game a try (I can’t for now since I don’t have a PS5), it is this run. I’m that kind of guy who dislikes cheap exploits in exchange for score, and that applies to every game I get serious at. Unfortunately these days players would do anything for a top score, or a top time. Speedrunning, too, is no longer solely about good execution but also finding all sorts of ways to break a game, and it seems like it all comes down to how much you can break things to achieve perfection these days. It’s kinda sad, but oh well, they will call me “fun at parties”. Just saying I really enjoyed watching this run, it is long and showcases what the real endgame really looks like in the hands of a skilled player.

@@t-blade "Not to downplay the skills involved in his runs, but I saw the snippets"(I don’t even see why he’d not record longer sessions) Too answer this, the reason why is because there is no real gameplay playing like that. you either A: are just gonna shoot and hide in cover or shoot or B: spam the grapple hook all day long, i really wish it had a cool down. also the gun he uses slowly eats a away health for a good 10 seconds. this is how these players exploits this mode very easily with this gun with out having to constantly shoot at them . the top scorer now is 815M at phase 43. which is not possible with out playing cheap like that. And I appreciate the kind words, glad you enjoyed the run.

You get the most points value and in the beginning it also gives you the highest score (0.3) towards your multiplier instead of 0.1 with gun kills

Mid-air melee kills give you 250k+ points per kill, often 10x what gun kills give you.

I see why others hate that, but I do not mind it. look at how much heath vials I had, if you can take at least 2 hits with full health then I am never gonna die. but I will say it should be at least two hits full health till at least phase 19. then one shot 20 and above if that makes sense.

​@@holla_die_w4ldfee519 Algos phase 6 and on gives critical malfunction. Destroys keys usually, sometimes Artifacts, Resin if you're not at 300 integrity (but you should be maxed by that phase).

​@@psyki4628 That's stupid. Once you hit proficiency 45 in the tower, usually before phase 3, you get so many chests is just a matter of time to get a maxed Dreadbound with the right attributes. Plus mini boss enemies always drop a gun. By these phases he's already spawned at least 300 guns, so it's 30 Dreadbound approx that would've dropped, possibly more.
