Great video, this cave was one of my first caving experiences many years ago, gosh...2003 maybe, after a few trips up into a couple "secret entrances" into the cave of the winds and a couple other small caves we went to groaning. The first 7 hours were incredible, saw some of the most beautiful things ever, mushroom hall I think one passage was called, and so many beautiful waters and stalagmites and such....then we ran into another group of cavers on our way out and they smoked a joint with us...that last hour I thought I was going to DIE of claustrophobia 😅....don't smoke weed in caves if you're claustrophobic!

great video! can i ask why you and the other cavers tried to avoid stepping in the puddle at 2:50? was it to avoid disturbing the cave more than necessary, to keep your socks dry, or some other reason or combination of reasons?

Just the reasons you list. Pools often harbor some forms of more sensitive cave life, and nobody likes being in a cold cave with wet feet if it can be avoided.

Glad to see you back in action. Mr. Bristol, have you ever considered coming EAST to go caving? There are some very fine locations in the Appalachians and New England. (Just wait for the bats to wake up in April before you go.)
