After taking his wife from Asia to Germany over 30 years ago, Andreas is returning to the Philippines to start an assisted care facility with his wife. They are focusing on alzheimer's patients, but can provide care for others as well. If you have someone who needs full time care in a beautiful location, contact Andreas!

I know Andy and Siony personally and have been their guest twice, not as a patient but as a friend. I felt very comfortable, and their staff are also super friendly. Together they are one big family who know exactly what is important for Alzheimer's patients. They are the best at what they do because they have experience from their own family.

Great to see this actually happen, something so many expats talk about, this is the first proper attempt I've seen at providing a real facility run by a real long term stable family. I wonder if they plan to use this as a prototype for franchising?

There is a huge need for this in the states. Obviously for Expats who age alone in the Philippines this is viable option. I assume most return back to the states if they have the resources, collected by their families. With these types of facilities in the Philippines opening, it gives people an option for long term care. This isn't just memory care, it ensures those that wish to remain in the Philippines in their later years can do so assisted. Some Expats don't have children, or don't have children in the Philippines who can assist. I think this is a really good idea and one outside the normal.

How accidental: just some hours ago I asked the question if there are elderly homes/ hospices for westerners in The Philippines. Because these foreigners get old, have health issues and dementia. They have a pension to cover the costs.

What a caring and compassionate couple to help the elderly. It is hard work but rewarding. I'm sure they will do well. Here in the U.S., assisted living facilities are a joke. They will charge you an arm and a leg and do the basic human needs which is a far cry for what they need. Elder abuse, bed sores, etc are all too common occurences.

@@tonymars1093 It's up to you to do the research and diligence. Every country with a large elderly population has them. In poor countries it's far worst sadly. Us Americans have it better than any other nation.

Just a practical thing: elderly people have to climb those stairs ? No elevator? And some flat walkways for the stroller or wheelchair? And when they become bedridden: wide doors for hospital bed ? But I am sure Sony & Andreas will develop their business according necessities. Keep up the good work👍

Assisted Care business in the Philippines is a good idea if you provide the same, if not better amenities and services, than what they provide in the United States or Canada to expatriates.

I think filipino families take care of their own, no money for rest homes. I can't help but notice that this channel has gone from hot girls in 5 star hotels to rest home interviews. Is it a sign?

Thank you for sharing your thoughts! It’s true that many Filipino families take care of their elderly at home, which is a beautiful tradition. However, we provide an option for families-especially those with loved ones living abroad or requiring specialized dementia care-that can be difficult to manage at home. Our residence offers a compassionate, personalized approach, blending Southeast Asian warmth with modern care tailored to the needs of people from Western cultures. We strive to create a family-like environment where every resident feels valued and respected. As for the change in the channel’s content, it reflects a focus on meaningful topics that impact people’s lives. We appreciate Tim K.'s effort to shed light on the importance of dementia care, which is becoming increasingly relevant everywhere. Thank you for engaging with the video!

@@alzheimerresidenzphilippinen Patients with dementia also progressively require increasing assistance as the disease progresses. This will eventually require more specialized care such as your staff is trained in. I think it’s a great service.

@@alzheimerresidenzphilippinen Very nice, I hope you are full of new customers. If you search Alzheimer's and dimentia you will find it labled as Diabetes stage 3 in many countries. "Type 3 diabetes is a term used by some researchers to describe the theory that insulin resistance and insulin-like growth factor dysfunction in the brain may cause Alzheimer’s disease."
