Alright..let me piece this together The journalist tried to expose Ryoba for her crimes but she got away with it His reputation was destroyed He got married to an unnamed woman but she died when giving birth to their daughter He tried to catch Ryoba in the act but couldn't and just endangered himself He left Japan to, I assume, America, in order to escape everything but Ryoba learns of this and goes to America with her husband not for a vacation but to kill or antagonize him more Info Chan(who I think is the journalist's daughter due to the way he describes her behavior) learns about Ryoba and her crimes(or already knew about her crimes)and learns she also has a daughter named Ayano who attend the same school as her, she uses her and will most likely try to kill her or get her arrested in order to prove herself to her father or to fix her family and her father's reputation Edit: I'm a psychic, for the most part

For the people saying info chan will betray ayano, if her dad is the journalist, it’s clear that she has no love for him. From the way he talked about how she practically raised herself and how he never tried to find out her interests and basically hated her for “being the reason her mom died”. I don’t think someone who was raised like that would try to follow in the footsteps of their parent, not to mention he abandoned her when ryoba started hunting him down. It could be true that her mom was a member of the aishi family as well, but I think the journalist would have sensed something was up if their last names were similar. Also, if you watch the timeline of the S+ rank cutscene, it clearly states that ryoba’s sister married her senpai in 1994. And only in 2004 did the journalist meet the woman he had a daughter with. I think that info chan obviously knows about the history with ayano’s mother, and is probably helping her and getting close to her to get revenge on her father, or to learn about his whereabouts.

With the lore, and Yanderedev's information that he gives in his video, we can explain (or atleast speculate) the Journalist's daughter possibly be. Nope, the journalist married a woman who "loved" him despite his "flaws". He admitted that his wife didn't care who he was and want to be with him regardless. The way the journalist described his wife was how exactly Ryoba act like with his husband. This leads to a speculation that the woman that the journalist was married to is a "yandere". Yandere in their universe/ in the game is a condition where you lack emotions and will be introduced to one with rather "excessive" amount of it with an "allogene" (a.k.a their respective "senpai"). This gives the idea why his wife didn't have complains when she practically did everything for him and him being a dead beat. This also explain that the journalist's daughter is very apathetic (no resentment for his dad despite being a bad father). This also clears up the blood his daughter sometimes got on her clothes. The way he reacted to the blood that he actually comments on it on a recording proves that it was rather of excessive amount. Since we know that a families that have a condition of "yandere" actually is hereditary (proved by Ryoba's comment on Ayano), this makes it plausible that blood that the journalist's daughter is from someone else. With abnormally large sums of money, this implies that the girl is VERY RESOURCEFUL. This indirectly implies that if she kills a few people, she wasn't likely to be caught. With that said, the journalist's daughter is to said that spending a lot of time (practically on her free time) on a computer, which implies (at worst) obsessive behaviour that could be also implied a strong connection to "stalking" someone (possibly an "allogene") P.S : Allogene is what I used to describe people like senpai (senpai and Ryoba's husband and possibly "the journalist" have a condition where girls are attracted to then despite being "bland", "generic" or "plain dead beat"). Currently, there's no title for the likes of senpai (hence, allogene is my subtitute title for him). It is confirmed in yandev's video that yan-chan has a condition and senpai has a quality why he can attract girls and bring emotions to a specific yandere.

Guys guys. Hear me out. We know that Ryoba Aishi has a sister from the timeline presented in 1980s mode. We know she met her “senpai” a year or two after Ryoba met hers. In one of the tapes, he says that he didn’t understand what his future wife saw in him, but she wanted to spend every waking moment with him. I propose, that that woman, is Ryoba Aishi’s sister, and that the reason it took Ryoba so long to find and kill the journalist was because now that she had her senpai and could feel emotions, she didn’t want to sentence her sister to life without her senpai, and only killed him once she was dead. This also raises the interesting question of the daughter of the Journalist and Ryoba’s sister, who has been long theorized to be Info-Chan. But if that’s the case, why did Info-Chan return to Akademi, the source of her fathers shame? Some might say to take revenge by killing Ayano, Ryoba’s daughter, but I don’t think that’s it, as that would almost certainly draw Ryoba’s wrath. No I think it comes back to the aishi family once again. If Info-Chan’s mother is a Yandere, then that would make Info-Chan a Yandere as well, from what we’ve seen of the Yandere condition. So... if Info-Chan is also a Yandere, that would give Info-Chan a reason to return to Akademi. Her senpai is there. But this raises yet another question, why is she helping Ayano eliminate her rivals. It’s not the point I raised earlier, about not wanting to sentence Ayano to a life without her senpai, as if Info-Chan has found her senpai and thus could feel her emotions, she would have left already. No, there’s another explanation that completely solves the mystery that is Info-Chan. Info-Chan’s mother is a Yandere which makes her one too. Info-Chan travels for a while before discovering her senpai at Akademi high school. She blackmails the principal into giving her a room to operate in. But to her dismay, she finds other girls are already in love with her senpai. But one particular girl piques Info-Chan’s interest. This girl seems willing to do whatever it takes to keep other girls from Senpai, so Info-Chan pretends to be her friend, and helps supply her with the things she needs to eliminate the other girls, while secretly, Info-Chan plans to murder this other girl as soon as everyone else is clear. The name of this other girl, is Ayano Aishi, Info-Chan’s Cousin, and Info Aishi’s senpai, is none other than Taro Yamada, who is also Ayano’s Senpai. So at the end of the game, the player will be confronted by Info-Chan, who will attempt to kill Ayano and confess to Senpai herself. That is Info-Chan’s story, tied up with a nice little bow.

Okay after listening to these tapes again I'm starting to wonder if The Journalist's wife was Ryoba's younger sister. It makes a lot of sense when he mentions his wife had only eyes for him, hated when other women looked at him, wanted to spend every day with him. Ryoba not going after the Journalist for years would add up as well. Possibly out of respect for her late sister and her niece, but when the Journalist starts to stalk and follow her again the deal is off. So if Info-chan is the Journalist's daughter this would make things very interesting.

It would make sense how Yan-Chan doesn’t know Info-Chan is related to her; considering that if the Journalist so much as suspected his wife’s origins for even a second or found out it would complicate their marriage etc. Perhaps the sisters made a deal to not cross each other’s paths so that nothing could interfere with either of their happiness. And as long as the sister kept the Journalist wrapped around her finger he’d never get involved with Ryoba again since her sister would be in control of where he is, what he does and who he interacts with. The woman Ryoba was stalking had to have been recent since we know that Ryoba has flown over seas to get to the Journalist at the start of the game. On top of that, Ryoba never killed that girl. If she did, the Journalist would of witnessed it, like he planned, and would then have concrete proof.

I just couldn't hold it in anymore and I straight up broke down in tears 😭 I feel so bad for him, Ryoba really terrified him so much that he just didn't even try to tell the police what he knew and he even cried. While Info-chan DOES spend all her time in the computer... she also keeps her hands clean. She makes Ayano do the kills and helps her and even gets her panty shots and incriminating evidence (that she no doubt sells to the highest bidder) rather than risk herself. Info-chan isn't the sort to get herself bloodied. No, I think what happened here is that the Journalist went through some good old dose of tragic irony: he MARRIED a yandere himself and was so depressed and grateful for her love that he ignored the obvious signs that she was acting towards him EXACTLY like how Ryouba did towards Yokichi. The same thing happened with his daughter: most parents would be very alarmed if their kid came back covered in blood and ask what the fuck happened. Ok so these tapes seem to heavily imply 2 things, 1 Info-Chan is the Journalists daughter, and 2 the Journalists wife is a yandere. Following this train of logic a lot of people have come to the conclusion that Info-Chan must be planning to betray Ayano in order to have Taro all for herself but that's false. Although Info-Chan being the final rival *was* considered as part of the plot in the early days that was scrapped long ago as Dev thought that it was way too obvious and would be a cheap and bad plot twist. However that doesn't mean it's not possible for Info-Chan to be the Journalists daughter and/or an Aishi. Taking they way the Journalists daughter is described as well how long these tapes have been a part of the plot into account it seems pretty clear that Info-Chan is the Journalists daughter, so then what are her motives? The popular theory is that Info-Chan is working to expose Ayano and Ryoba to get justice for her father but to me that seems unlikely. As journalist-san said himself in very tapes he was a terrible father who borderline neglected his daughter, it seems unlikely that she would be sentimental enough towards him to pull something like that. Plus we know she started her hacking business years before Ayano even met Taro. Plus taking mission mode into account (which while it does take place in an alternate universe is still canon) where she has a personal assassin I think it's clear that justice isn't her main priority. So I think it's safe to say that whatever her plans end up being even if they do end giving journalist-san vindication she didn't do strictly for his sake. Onto the question of, was the Journalists wife an Aishi and if so would that make Info-Chan Ayano's cousin? Well in the case of Info-Chan being Ayano's cousin the answer is definitely no. Go back to the timeline presented in the S+ ending and you will see that Ryoba's sister finding her senpai happens before Journalist-san meets his future wife. Besides we already have a concept for what Ayano's cousin is supposed to look like and it ain't Info-Chan not to mention Ayano's cousin is one of the potential tutorial mode ideas (on that note it's stated Ayano's cousin has already gotten rid of all her rivals further proving that even if Info-Chan was her cousin Taro wouldn't be her senpai). But does all of this rule out the possibility of her being an Aishi? Honestly it's hard to say, the way journalist-sans' wife is described certainly fits the description of an Aishi but maybe that was all just a red hearing and she was just regular yandere no curse needed it would explain why Info-Chan wouldn't display any yandere like traits. Or maybe journalist-sans' wife was an Aishi but Info-Chan just learned how to break the curse. At the end of the day we need to remember that we only have week 1/10 in terms of the story so we're definitely missing critical pieces of the puzzle and trying to perfectly solve it at this point would be unwise.

It's good if info chan is the daughter... BUT, the gameplay of each player can alter the ending so I wonder if Ayano befriended all her rival instead of murdering all of them, I think Info-chan will be like his father if the ending is like the 1980's mode. Although if Ayano went for killing spree then Info-chan can use all of these info to frame her in the end. Therefore it'll solely base on the players gameplay... I do am excited for many endings in Ayano's timeline like the bad ending would be Info-chan betraying her (F ranking), or Ayano eliminating every rival (including Info-chan) as the best ending. I do hope that there would be multiple ending sequence, I think that each elimination method could be an advantage or disadvantage to the player.

What i found out: The journalist attended in Ryoba's school and knows everything about Ryoba's violence. I have a guess that Info-Chan might be the daughter from the journalist. I'm mad late but my take was The Journalist was investigating a murder case at a High School and found one girl suspicious and tailed her until he gathered enough evidence to convict her, or so he thought. After getting the girl in court she played the part of the victim perfectly and ruined the Journalists reputation. After said trial she found the Journalist and threatened his life if he dared came after her again, and with that he fled and lived his life in a bottle of liquor. He then found love and confidence in an unnamed women whom of which he married 6 months into their relationship. They then had a child that ended up killing the one person the Journalist could count on and was sent back into a sorry state of depression. He wasn't a good father to the child, he barley spent time with her, he never checked up on her, and never questioned her after school activities that seemed to ring her in some money. One day he'd had enough of being a depressed loser drowning in an endless pool of alcohol and finally got back to work on finding the High School murderer now an adult. Not long after he began, he found her and was observing her behavior closely, he then noticed she was stalking a young female High Schooler and was conflicted about letting the women murder her or not. During one of the trailing's the Journalist was doing, he slipped up and she found him out. Walking into a ally and disappearing into the darkness she appeared behind the Journalist saying "Long time no see Mr Reporter". At that point he knew he was finished, he went home and began recording a voice message for his daughter who was still at school during this, he said his final goodbyes and that was the last we seen or..heard from him. (He most likely went to America from what comes of this next line) The women, who's name is now Ryoba, found this out this information and decided to hunt him down in America with her husband. Theory: The daughter is Info-Chan who is now most likely in her 20s due to her being born way before Ayano, she discovered the tapes and most likely founded out what the women now dubbed Ryoba Aishi, did to her father and looked at the school directory to find out that this womens daughter was attending this school. Info-Chan decided to make a fake identity and become a student at the school. The main purpose behind her helping Ayano is to maybe observer her, Info-Chan heard the stories of Ayano's mother Ryoba and wanted to see what was it in that womens behavior that made her father so scared and scared enough to leave the country all together. She wanted to see what made her father leave her by observing Ayano's behavior, she has no fucks to give about her father or Ryoba, she only cares to feel what he felt that caused him so much fear.

What if the journalist’s deceased wife was Ryoba’s sister? I can’t remember if it said when/if she died but I remember it saying that she met her Senpai after Ryoba’s trial. What i think : The journalist tried to expose ryoba but she got away with it, the journalists reputation was not very good.... journalist married a randon woman and the woman got pregnant, but the bad thing is...she died after giving birth, info chan the daughter of journalist, info chan always find journalist sad, so she went to find why he is sad after finding why he is so sad she went to a school, she found ayano she thought it was ryobas daughter and she found out that she has a crush on taro yamada, so she wanted her to help her to kill the rivals to expose her, she was in a club named info club no one knows about that club the club is really mysterious, info chan is the leader of the info club, info chan was in the room full of cameras to record her murdering rivals.
