that was the original reason why he added it to the game. he also thaught it was weird to look emotionless when seeing a dead body. but since that feature didnt work as it was supposted to he removed it.. doing fake reaction made u seem suspicious even when doing it near a dead body so it was basically useless.. even if the idea was actually cool that still made u loose reputation

the idea was great and all but it made you look suspicious in front of students if there was no body. and if there was a corpse and you did the fake reaction in front of it, the teacher will think you did it and apprehend you since it was seen as an "insane" action, kinda like laughing hysterically or having low sanity

The hearts while passing time was genuinely a good idea, and it showed how much ayano was obsessed with senpai by being able to pass literal hours just looking at his picture, whilst being subtle. But now it’s just…staring…at a black screen. While the game is continuing development, I feel yandev takes backwards steps with some features

Yeah a lot of these could come back like how the spilling water on someone thing could have a "not right now!" Notification on the top and I say this one because students can be calculated on why they're so hated or loved in reputation and this could be a way to make Ayano known as a clumsy girl Midori voicelines, box of matches, the town biking (probably not for a while), the dancing delinquents, hearts on the phone, the missing posters and the red uniform could definitely be added for a laugh

The reason it’s a black screen is because Senpai might be customised by the player so it makes no sense for her to be staring at a random boys picture.

idea for the fake reaction: Only allow the fake reaction when there is that popup at the top that says near body. Lower the opacity and dont allow ayano to use it until she is near a body.

Throwing matches doesn't look that weird compared to walking to a student while holding a candle... And they both seem like an intentional attempt to set someone on fire so I really don't understand why he changed it. It's not even that unbalanced.

A student holding a candle is regarded as suspicious and your reputation will be reduced by 10. And yes, if you walk up to a student dosed with gasoline and it burns them, students recognize it as a murder. Imo it's kinda unbalanced compared to the throw gasoline using the bucket we have now.

Only logical reason I can think of here, looks a thoussnd times more suspicious to trip and fall with a bucket of gasoline and then throw a match on the victim. For one, it's already considered suspicious carrying a bucket around outside of cleaning time and a bucket of gasoline is very suspicious. Then throwing the match onto the person in front of people is kinda just putting a target on you as a murderer. You could try to hide somewhere in doing so when setting up the door trap, but from Kubz Scouts gameplay with the feature has shown the aim to be very sensitive. The candle is meant to be set down under the trap to draw suspicion away from you and makes it more accessible to the player. Walking into the victim with the candle in front of people is definitely very revealing, but the matches didn't provide the challenge of witnesses reacting to it as a murder which made it inbalanced and op. That's the best reason I can think of.

I loved Musume's old task. Made more sense to me than the new one I just don't see why musume would be incapable of finding a girl sitting on a bench. @@kittymations6509 okay look. imagine you are a huge fan of yandere simulator and yandere dev, and you put in hours of work, day after day, week after week, because you believe it's a wonderful game and you really want to help. and then while working on a bit of the game, you realise the instructions you were given said you needed to put something in a safe to steal. so you add a funny joke, a little easter egg, a reference to a previous build because you're a huge fan and you know youtubers and stuff found it funny when it was in the game before. you giggle to yourself and move on, glad that you were able to contribute something to a game you care about so deeply. and then yandere dev tells his discord that it's "fucking stupid" and "fucking dumb" and he "hates the fuck out of it". and you never even meant any harm, you just thought it'd be a fun little easter egg, and now a big content creator who you're a huge fan of has publicly shamed you (even if he didn't mention them by name, they still read that and know he's talking shit about them) and told everyone that your ideas are fucking stupid and he hates them. not to mention a lot of these volunteers are relatively young and inexperienced, so this could literally be a teenager he's talking about so harshly

The matches were honestly not an unbalanced mechanic. The trip and fall mechanic was removed already, eliminating any chance of burning someone in any place you wanted, but in actuality, that's a lie too. Because the *dressing room* is completely deserted! Candle or matches, you can just stroll in, burn your rival and go, or clean up the body, whatever you want. If anything, the dressing room is an unbalanced game mechanic!

Also, doesn't make much sense to have a candle instead, it wouldn't even stay lit up from all the running the player has to do and if students witnessed Ayano carrying it, it would instantly make her suspicious if a burnt body was found

Cory probably had my favorite Yan Sim playthrough, and Kubz Scouts is my second favorite, just love it when people make a game without much content into a whole series just from making up dialogue and stories (Kubz Scouts had the entire Mythbusting series and Cory had an entire separate story with Yandere-Chan and the Basu Sisters)

It wasnt a bug, the feature was made to only work for murder-suicide elimination method and be suspicious to students when used in every other situations, so if you used it when you see a body, the game was programmed to make students suspicious of you

I think the missing posters should instead be moved to the Photography Club’s room because they become “junior detectives” when the school atmosphere is low because of murders, so I believe that they would become invested in a case when they find out one of their classmates went missing and was last seen at Akademi.

Tbh I don't see the point of a missing student poster in the school. It'd make more sense for missing person/student posters to go outside near the school because literally only the students are in the school. If it's outside more people will be able to spread intel (and ik technically the protag KNOWS their dead or in their basement but it would make sense realistically)

way later than this comment was posted, but i agree. he removed many harmless and enjoyable features because it was too "Cringey" or most likely because he thought it would make people take the game less seriously (like the hearts while passing time feature, for example) a genuinely good feature and detail, but he seems like he wants to be taken so seriously over a simulator game

One feature that was removed: the evil persona. Yui Rio had this persona back in 2016. If Ayano killed someone in front of her she would approve the murder and tell Ayano that she would keep her secret. Although it was removed and replaced by the "Spiteful" persona.

It was technically not removed though. It was changed and reworked into the "Spiteful persona" which works the same as long as the student hates or sees no worth in the student they saw you kill. This personality is still in the game as Borupen has it.

Yeahhhh-- the main issue with Covid-chan was that she was wearing traditional Chinese garb which was insensitive to the entire situation and how asian/Chinese people were facing hate due to COVID-19 being blamed on them whereas Ebola-chan is just a pink/white outfit swap with stylized hair and a nurse hat, not traditional garb of places heavily affected by Ebola.
