When you cuddle with someone you care about, your body releases a hormone called oxytocin that calms you and makes you more likely to deal better with stress. ... It also can lower your blood pressure and lower levels of the “stress hormone” cortisol, which also can help. We literally need cuddles to survive the stress of daily life. We also need cuddles from our loved ones that we have been separated from to reassure ourselves, and to take in their individual smell. 💓

You do need to thank me for watching as I want to thank you for posting these videos. I'm not a vet but the son of one who served in the last years of WWII in the Pacific theater as a medic. I'm also the father of a daughter who served in the Army as an ordnance specialist. and spent time in Iraq and Afghanistan, destroying military equipment the Russians left behind after the Taliban was driven away. She then served as a DOD contractor for KBR stationed at Bagram air base. She spent the first year destroying weapons and ammunition found in schools and hospitals, and also clearing out mine fields. After that was done she was transferred to logistics and sent out anything our troops called in for when out in the fields. If she didn't have it, she knew who did and circumvented the chain of command and went directly to who had it and got it sent out AFAP.
