Pokemon has made some really odd decision, like the other day they've completly changed the tournaments. Now there will not be States or Nationals, but championship cups based on your continent. So confused with pokemon at the moment lol

for starting out playing pokemon should I buy a theme deck so I can play at a pokemon league or am I allowed to play my proxied deck?

I recommend buying a elite trainer box because you can get 5 of each energy types 8 packs card Protectors and dice

No there is several leagues in CO now. Look up Pokemon events and leagues on the Pokemon website to see the nearest one near you.
