I've had that experience at Illinois Beach State Park as a kid ! Our Dad noticed our hair standing on end, and he yelled... RUN !!! No sooner after we left that spot, a nasty bolt of lightning struck where were standing !!! I remember the BOOM ! Some excellent advice there ! ! ! ❤👍👍👍

Glad to see you are keeping them once in awhile too. Never understood the fisherman that throw everything back they catch and go to Long John Silvers to BUY and eat them later. It's counterintuitive and a waste of fresh caught fish that taste best.

I’ve just seen a lot of folks through my life keeping everything they catch.. no matter the size or amount. Also, living beside a marina for a few years showed me how many fish are kept during the charter season for vacationers on their booked trips. It’s sad to me to think how much goes to waste and what is does to the fish population. But at the end of the day, our country and the world do not appreciate meat in general.. whether it be fish, beef, poultry, or pork etc. Having these things should be a reward not everyday expectations.. having that mindset would save a lot of fish in particular from getting freezer burned or thrown out. Going to the grocery store or even fast food drive throughs has created these issues. I love harvesting my own food and I wish one day to do only that.. that would be the ultimate life.

here in Brazil we don't have trout like that loose in the rivers. So if you go to supermarkets, we have tilapia fillet, a typical fish from here, I will try to make your recipe with tilapia fillet. I don't know if it's going to be as good apparently as yours, if I could I'd make it for you, try it but it's so far impossible for that to happen. thanks. kisses 🦌

I live in Ohio near Cincinnati, there isn't a lake around here that I would eat a fish out of, most of them are so polluted and have so much bacteria in them I'd be afraid to eat them, it's a shame with all the natural water ways around here, you can't enjoy a couple of nice crappie, Trout or catfish every once in a while. 😢😢😢
