Honestly, Korean is easier because even if it's hard to pronounce, you can still learn it faster, on the other hand, Japanese literally relies on kanji and if you don't know much then you can't read and write well---> makes understanding the language a whole lot harder. I'm studying Japanese and I've been studying it for a year now and I'm still having a hard time...

Japanese is pretty easy, phonetically. The only one that trips folks up is tsu. The vowels are equivalent to 아, 이, 우, 애, and 오. There are rules for double vowels, like in Korean. The writing system is way more complicated, though. There is no 어 in Japanese. That one's hard. The hardest language, by far, is English. Words have no consistent spelling rules. Everything has an exception. It's basically straight memorization.
