I think the reason it doesn't feel to 'heartwarming' is probably because Solar feels awkward in emotional situations along with Earth and Lunar being cautious because of previous problems. I mean- Earth has had a hard time recently with everything and they've had him impersonated so Lunar ended up attacking Solar which probably made it more awkward- 😭😭 That and when this technically takes place, Solar tells Moon he's still kinda processing things-

I can only imagine they are filming this at Davis's house, so the microphones randomly pick up meows and to stay in character they question WHERE IS SUN'S CAT?! XDD Awesome recovery! But for them to avoid this in the future, either editor can edit out the cat sounds & everyone ignores the cat sounds or that if filming is at Davis's place, before filming Davis could make sure that a friend could take his cats for a few hours into their own house so there wouldn't be any cat sounds to ignore or edit out in the future.
