Why would you want to? ATR2500 has USB connection. The microphone needs external power, either 5v from USB or phantom power via XLR connection in the base.

I guess because computers support 3 cored audio jacks but in the earphones, you always get a 4 core jack.

Easy tip, If wanting to make a long extended mic cut off the earbuds and keep the control bit of the earphones you will have a mic instantly without having to do this waste

The pinout of jack of Nokia and Samsung is different.... your laptop or desktop need Nokia type.... connect as the nokia type...
