For several years, maybe since 2013 maybe, I bought a really top of the line machine, I read and heard it was the Cadillac of all the machines, so to be able to get this tremendous machine I thought I was cutting a fat hog!! The problems they had with it, I figured they had been worker out, also knowing a good deal of problems were operator made. Well I’m not intimidated easily at all, but thru these several years I’ve had a problem trying to get it threaded to be able to sew, and the auto needle threader may or may not work, usually the thread would come out when the needle backed out or it wasn’t long enough to stay thru the needle. Then there was the biggest problem in the bobbin area!!! I finally saw a video that showed a fork like apparatus in the bobbin area, but it was all black and I couldn’t find it. When I did you think a person, who’s not stupid and pretty stubborn too, would be able to get that thread in that forked area, you would think!!!!! We’ll think again. I would have to get away from it. I’d go back another day and try it again, nope! It would sit there for months and years, a thorn in my backside just staring back at me. In the mean time I happened to see this Pfaff Creative Icon, my jaw dropped to the floor when I saw all it could do. I finally tried it again the 5th of June this year, still couldn’t get it. I was soooooo mad I really wanted to take a hammer to it and throw it in the front yard. I went to my office and called a place online that had the Pfaff Creative Icon, I saw an advertisement where it was just a little more than what I had bought my other machine for, but they didn’t have another at that ridiculously low price I had seen in the ad, but they had one still in the box, had never been taken out. When he told me what I could pay for it and what I could pay monthly, I was in Heaven!! Never ever thinking I would ever be able to get such a wonderful machine. I’m going to be 75 this summer and if I die next week, I will have had a weeks worth of fun!! Life really is too short not to enjoy yourself. All I wanted was to be able to sit and see, we’ll now I can, and best part, it all works!! If I was even 14 years younger, I would have gotten the Icon 2, but this will do me. I’m sooooo happy. Like a dead pig in the sunshine!!

Good presentation. I have this machine and never really got training on it. I felt this was the place to stop upgrading machines. I couldn't see the need for me personally to want a laser and some of the other little things added. Now I find myself having to search KZbin to learn the machie.

This may not be the place to ask this question. The machine seams amazing but you alluded to a time when Pfaff machines may not have had consistent stitches. My Mom had a Pfaff "creative" 1471 I think from either the late 80's to 90's that had issues skipping stiches (especially zigzag). Is this the the issue you were talking about? I am in the market for a new machine and want to feel confident that I am investing in the right one.
