Depreciation charge amount Journal entries - Depreciation expenses a/c Debit 36,000 Accumulated depreciation Credit 36,000 Transfer the accumulated dep amount at the end of 31-12-2013 to equipment a/c, journal entries will be Accumulated depreciation a/c Debit 108,000 Equipment a/c Credit 108,000 Then to have a balance of 312,000 in the equipment a/c you need to pass the following journal entries Equipment a/c Debit 20,000 Revaluation Reserve a/c Credit 20,000
