Just finished making this. I used a blanket stitch instead of plain crochet stitch and added ribbed cuffs and it turned out great! Thanks so much for an awesome tutorial! :)

I just want to let all my viewers know, that I am half-double crocheting like normal. In no part of this entire tutorial am I doing back loops only. This entire sweater is based off of normal half double crochets, NOT BLO. In the video, it seems like I am crocheting in the back loops only, but I just want to let you guys know, I am not doing so :) AND I'M SO SORRY FOR THE QUALITY of this video again. This is the best I could do with my instruments here.

I was wondering how to keep the strings from popping out. Like whenever I finished and I tried to tuck the excess yarn in with the rest of the row, whenever it stretches, the end of the yarn poked out at the neck of my sweater. Great tutorial by the way! This was my first attempt at a sweater and I’m really pleased with how it turned out!

That’s what I’m using. I’m starting with Denim (the color), I might make another one in Burgundy/ Claret. I lovePound of Love. It’s just the right thickness. In between a weight 3 snd 4. Perfect. I also love Caron One Pound Jumbo. It makes a terrific,cozy fall / winter sweater cause it’s thick enough to be warmer than your average weight 4 sweater, but not so hot that steam is coming out of your ears!!

Does it matter what time of yarn you use for this sweater?
@candlescrochet72837 жыл бұрын
Ni Ce nope! But I would suggest using cotton yarn because it's softer on the skin and won't be so hot when you wear it
