It's probably a really hot take but I would absolutely love a first gym with the Ghost typing. And before you tell me it would be way too busted, hear me out : the gym leader only has one Misdreavus (a rare Pokémon you will never encounter just like Roxanne with her Nosepass) and the guy at the entrance tells you "Hey young champion ! The leader here uses a really special Pokémon ! You can't hit it with regular attacks ! But fear not, if you catch a Sentret or a Hoothoot with Foresight, it will become vulnerable to all types of attacks !" This would teach the player not to spam Tackle like it's the only move they know, but also could let you to get a direct use of learning Razor Leaf / Ember / Water Gun on your starter right before the fight. And obviously, just give the Misdreavus Confuse Ray and Astonish, it's already gimmicky enough as it is. Thank you for listening to my Ted Talk.

hey, i dont know if its just me, i dont think so but maybe, but for the next time do you think it would be possible to lower a bit the game volume (or turn up your voice volume) ? because it was a bit unbalanced and from time to time it was hard hearing what you were saying. That point aside really cool watching this chillthru, a lot of love from France

I would do first gym Grass what with the Sprout tower there, but with the gymleader having either a sunflora or a bellossom, and give it solar beam and sunny day, to teach players about the weather, Gym would be ground type, with a quagsire as the "ace" of the leader, gym three could stay normal, gym four wouldnt be ghost, it would be dark, gym 5 becomes water, with a ploitoed, gym 6 stays steel, gym 7 stays ice, and gym 8 stays dragon

If I were to reinvent the Gen 2 gyms, my first focus would be on changing their rosters to have more gen 2 Pokémon because idk about reordering or changing types. Falkner: hoothoot and natu Bugsy: Pineco, Spinarak, Yanma Whitney: Teddiursa and Morty: there isn’t much to do here, just include Misdreavus somehow. Chuck: the two new fully evolved fighting types are an easy change; give him Hitmontop and Heracross Jasmine: Steelix, forretress, Skarm Pryce: delibird, sneasel, piloswine Clair: stuck as she is I suppose

Electric, Ground and Bug for the first 3 Gyms

I agree about 90% with what you said about the gyms, but I think it would be nice to see something weird as an early gym, like Dragon early on. Or Ground, I guess. They tend to be late game. Or make each of the first three gyms hard counter a different started (Water absorb, Sap Sipper and Flash Fire, so type can move around a bit). Anyways, love the content mate.

Gen 2 level curve in general is bad, it's sad that they didn't fix it in the remakes :(

I'm not too bothered that chikorita is at a type disadvantage being grass, but that she lacks a secondary type and a better stat spread

@papagarbodor hey man I know you have had the same look for years but ever since Gimmieghoul came out your glasses look like Gimmieghoul eyes you should wear the glasses on Pokémon go. Also, I would love to see you do a roaming Gimmieghoul sweep.

wouldn't change the gyms, but make chikorita part ice type, make it's first level up move powder snow or something.

Chikorita is certainly dinosaur enough that you can wave away giving it the Rock Type. Even if its not 'rock looking' it is definitely one of the types that would best complement it.

don't know too much about gen 2 but id probably make it something neutral as well that doesn't completely screw over picking one starter so maybe normal or fighting
