You should do a dyno comparison with and without the system running. It would require tuning changes to optimize each one,but that could be helpful if for some reason he had a problem with the ice system and it stopped working at the track.

I have a roots 8-71 with an intercooler and gained 100hp with tap water on a chry 440.I just installed a Meziere 55gpm pump for the i/c water and I am waiting to test it on track and do a flow gpm test.

Wow! Kevin is also a fantastic racer! I just looked up our time slip from the first round of elimination (I was in the opposite lane) at the Florida race. He ran a 10.93, on a 10.92 dial-in!! I know he got faster and faster as the season went on and won the championship!

One thing that I notice that is common in all your videos. Your mic is always distorted. Likely because its on your collar and not farther down.

you really want to see improvements upgrade to 1" ID lines. 1" fittings on the heat exchanger and 1" fittings on the intercooler core. The more water you can flow the better.

Why not save all that weight and hassle and just install a c02 spray system to fast freeze the intercooler? WAY less weight and hassle. Great video as always Evan.

Good question. On this car it would involve removing the blower and intake and plumbing a system. This was an easier install and seems to be very common. Perhaps that's something to explore in the future.

With the car being tuned with the ice tank, what happens when the pump fails? Does the knock sensor or other safety protocols keep the engine from melting or breaking?

there is a timing table that works off Intake Air temp. You tune for all temps....that way if you have a failure....you're covered.

Now you need to insulate the tank and the pipes somehow . That's a lot of fluid (water) in the pipes loosing temperature .

Ice is a pain in the ass. Go to a FI Interchiller.
