Without the rev-limiter , 8000 rpm is easy , but the piston skirts will develop a crack ,simple upgrade on pistons gives u a dependable 8k

Just made my contribution. That Boss 302 would look nice beside by '14 5.0 Mustang. Just wish I still had my '68 Mustang, would have looked nicer beside it. The Fox Body Capri would have to go though, or I'd have to add another stall to the garage.

@@georgewetzel4380 Not when you're racing mega rare engines, or ultra expensive ones. Many years ago I was racing,my tach quit. It was a really close race & I floated the valves on my solid lifter engine, hurting it.

Weird that this car has the optional center console. Standard interior didn't have a center console. No "t-handle" shifter knob either. 1970, only the handle was Hurst. This car also has the manual choke option.

Pretty sure it said decor interior on the paperwork, and I also saw the bright pedal pad surrounds. Not sure if the console was standard with the decor interior. With the AM radio, those items take a lot of the 'stripper' aspect away from that car - at least in the interior. I'd enter, but I still don't have a garage for any of my Mustangs...

@@nickbonvino Deluxe interior with a standard steering wheel? FYI, deluxe interior had vinyl weave seats. BTW, I have an all options Boss 302 Mustang that I bought new from TASCA Ford in RI. Other than the optional console, this car is a bare bones Boss 302 Mustang.

Awesome car! Unfortunately, it's a '70. I have always thought Ford destroyed the look of the Mustang when they went to one headlight in the '70. My Acapulco Blue, '69 Boss Fastback is forever my favorite car. You should be giving away a special '69 Mustang. But, I may participate in spite of the '70's ugliness.

I bought a yellow, with black interior, all options Boss 302 Mustang new from TASCA Ford in RI. I still own it today and I've kept it maintained to be in showroom condition. This '70 Boss 302 Mustang is bare bones. I've never seen a Boss 302 Mustang that didn't have a tachometer in the instrument cluster. Magnum 500 15x7 wheels were standard in 1970. The wheels on this '70 Boss 302 Mustang are incorrect. Possibly the instrument cluster isn't original either.

@@cashmoney7660 I am a 50+ years master level factory certified auto/truck tech. Majority of those years at the largest Ford dealership in my state. They sold 23 1970 Boss 302 Mustangs. All 23 had 15x7 Magnum 500 wheels as does my all options '69 that I bought new from TASCA Ford in RI.

@@cashmoney7660 You are correct about the wheels, those dog dish style hub caps were standard equipment and most Boss 302's did not have the optional tachometer, unfortunately my Boss (still own) bought back in 1973 didn't have a tack or Magnums either.

I bought an new Boss 302 in 1970 Lime green with the same wheel covers (not Mags) mine also did not have a tach. I added a 8000 rpm sun tach and the rev. limiter never worked from the factory. I had 4 shifts with 3.5: 1 rear gear at 8000 RPMs when it was new. The vacuum secondary's did not close for 3 seconds after the throttle after was lifted. I fixed this with manual secondary's. I also ran a 70 Z28 with 350cu in and passed him in 1st gear at 7000RPM! from 20 mph. I loved the car and put new pistons at 32000 miles. The z28 was burning 2 qts of a week (oil rings broke) and he sold it!
