I never knew that Latinum Rush was so popular until this came out. I haven't cared about Lat Rush in 2 or 3 years, but I care about Arenas even less, lol.

Mining is an important part of the game. I'd prefer raiding with an envoy to this garbage.

Don't get me wrong, I don't have any desire to participate in Arenas, but that is because I don't care for PVP in this game. While mining is important, I do it throughout the week when I am not actively playing. I don't try to chase a leaderboard with minimal rewards that I will probably never win anyway.

I'm done with arenas for now. Too many players are doing exactly what you said and manipulating the match making, couple with bad match making what started out as fun has just turned in to seal clubbing for high levels AND ITS JUST NOT FUN ANYMORE. Until it gets back to being fun for everyone and not just teams that manage to put together a 57/64/69 team then I'm out.

A 57-64-69 team would be hard for low G6 teams to fight, that's for sure. But G6 is an unforgiving wasteland regardless of what mechanic we're discussing

My strategy is to get face stomped by everyone lower level then me to the point I had all my docks repairing and sitting there staring at my screen. Played 5 matches, lost all 5, was totally worth the time put into it.

Honestly I wanted to like this feature but reducing the participants to 3 was a major issue. The other huge problem for me anyway, was that your rank can be lost/lowered. If you get a handful of bad match-ups, you lose your rank. And it's pretty significant. There's also a time demand issue, I'm at work the entire event most of the time. But mainly because of rank loss, I have abandoned doing these completely. It sucks but if I get to silver and then revert backwards after some uneven match-ups, then I'm done with it, not even trying anymore.

As mentioned in the last Arena video, I quit playing Arena. Opponents are one year older, with one additional year of sourcing officers. The opponents ships are stronger, their crews are stronger, their research is stronger. I’m usually the strongest player in team (OPS lock 50) and also the first with just destroyed ships within 1-2min. Their ships are not only stronger, they are also a lot faster. I just have about 3-4 hours if ignoring daily picks, events and goals - and it took 6-8h to get a weekly full pull in the first 2 weeks. Balance between servers and loot has to be improved. If loosing gets you 1000 instead of 400 I would join again.

Get an ops 43 to start a group. Join that group with another player lower than you. Win easily. Yer welcome

Server ages and specifically ascension really makes for some difficult opportunities for players. There's no denying that. I'm curious how they end up trying to adjust based on that feedback (or if they try anything at all)

Well if you *did* go 1-9, as an example, you'd still get 4,600 tokens for the week's pulls. Not ideal, but certainly enough to justify the participation.

The balance is way off. For instance if I start an arena group the highest that can join is 49 yet we end up against mid 50s. No amount of strategy will win you that when that one guy will destroy everything our team can send out regardless. The pvp ranges are miles from where they should be.

Voicechat is great. As the normal big guy we use voicechat when the opponent is trying to attack another member and they run them straight to my PvP ship to intercept and kill them.

I get in the match, I'm completely outsped by all three on the other team who are zoomed out and just keep taking my ships out. There is no point in competing once you know you've lost, you get nothing for it. PvP arenas are horrendous and just favour players who have spent or have been here longer. Fair dues to them but it's not a fun experience, I'd rather we have the ability to just quit out and give them the win. Sat there for 10 mins being able to do nothing is not fun. Matchmaking needs to be WAY closer, matches need to give out more rewards for 10 mins of effort and there should be bonus for what you as an individual score to encourage you to keep trying even when your massively out gunned. Until that point the whole thing is dead to me and my alliance

What do you mean you get nothing? You get 40% of the possible rewards just for being there

@RevDeuce That's what I mean, you get nothing for being active and scoring so just enter queue, take the loss if it's obvious your out gunned. Even if you got a single currency for every point you scored it would encourage you to try even if your just going to lose.

For me, it will be a great feature, once the lag issues are sorted out. Great video on tactics, most of which we use. Yesterday won 4 out of 4, but the lag made it impossible to continue. Remove the rank from the match making and it will get so much better for all.

2 minute repair time in a 5 minute match unless you spend money or go after repair speed ups in the store witch leaves you nothing to get what you want from the store HARD PASS ( as a lvl 50 fighting a 52 plus really sucks)

I don't buy the repair speedups in either the paid store or the empire faction. While annoying (and I agree repair time should be lowered), it doesn't stop the good teams from winning.

There's no way you were using every tactic available and going 1-20 unless your teammates simply quit on you. We just have way too many examples of far weaker teams beating far stronger teams with strategy alone.

@@RevDeuce I've yet to see this in practice. Every match I've been involved in was decided by the strongest player's ships. No strategy can overcome getting nuked by a player who has a G5 epic that is faster than everyone on your team and the best ship on your side is a G5 uncommon.

I've only seen it where the gap is small like 59 rare verses 61 epic or 63 uncommon vs a 65 or a new 66 as soon as they get up to 67 it's game over usually those players can run a speed crew and still kill you with pvp officers same types that are 66 plus usually have all fts and primes

EU starts at 2pm Monday. So most are at work. Lots don't participate due to Lat rush event. In my alliance about 25% take part. Thanks for advice about a loot crew. Not used one.

Also the NSEA while nice if you have had it long enough to tier up is way over powered for Arenas. Yeah yeah I know power lvls are not everything but having a 900 mil ship at ops 50 is strictly pay to win especially when the power rankings for matching still only show them at 120-180 mil. Has this been addressed? because if not matching will always be messed up.

Tip 1. Do not do PvP in a game with microtransactions. It is a pay to win game. so forget the whole mechanic.. Tip 2-5 got to Tip 1.

Can happen when 59 is a spender and the 61 isn't. But he's point is still valid as a 62 I kept go getting matched with 69s n 68s no matter what they did a 60 epic even maxed is doing nothing against a pay to win rare ship and 12 billion power cube

The level 50 player beating a 57 is using one of the forbidden artifacts like Tantalus Field, Red Matter, Thalaron Radiation or Boreth Time Crystal.....i have noticed a lot of arena players using these to give their ships a 1000%-3500% boost to damage to players

I definetly need to be in at the 10 seconds mark no matter what, i messes that up more than once. Also you dont need a full loot crew, ent-e picard and ent-e data are enough to have a 2-1-1. You are better off putting in Kuron as the third.

I liked it when it was 5v5. For some reason I just can’t be bothered with 3v3. Probably an issue of balance. I think it’s going to die a death unless they can implement a full on regional solo queue and chat/talk functionality. Having to use a separate application is not good design. It has potential though :-)

I want 1V1, I need 1V1, arena starts at 15:00 local, by the time I find a team it's 18:00-19:00. I need to sleep at 20:00 to wake up at 04:00.. it's problematic

Arena is still just to limited (in availability), and matchmaking and the level brackets are still WAY off. Scopely not learning at all from everything(90%) that is being stated on the discord arena feedback... I want to have a good time with arena but scopely makes it just real hard...

I honestly don't think the matchmaking is that bad having poured through thousands of matches/talked with players. I think the biggest issue(s) are skill when it comes to matchmaking, hence the video.

Scopely have released some very good content recently, the NSEA I can't fault and archives were a great addition. However the time slot for these makes it impossible for so many who work, have kids, and a family life structure. The pairings are a joke....how are 58 can I kill minervas? Not gonna happen...sadly PvP is broken as a mechanic without a wallet

G6 teams lose to G5 teams often. Not everything is wallet. Arenas is far more skill based than you and others seem to be giving it credit for. Or, do like me and just ignore the g6 matches and play the ones you can.

There is no crew that is going to let me beat a level 56or 57 crewed for pvp . All the really have to do is kill you and you are locked out My alliance is lucky if we can get one going anymore
