Happy new year!! Also…again pretty awkward line delivery’s in the Yoruichi video, feels so stilted. Like it’s AI generated. (I know it’s not but still). Definitely gonna have to see how this sounds Subbed, the dub is sounding a little rough.

Lowkey that happens sometimes with Dubs for Video games. Idk if it’s cause it’s “just a game” so the voice director doesn’t try to get better performances from the VAs to match the tone of the scene. Or if it’s a different issue entirely. Like for example, as much shit as I give Xenoverse, it’s dub is really good considering how mid it could’ve been. Powerful screams, emphasis and tone in the correct places, for the most part anyway. I switched to sub a while back but I’ll never forget the iconic “It isn’t over yet!” and “But the Big Gete Star allowed me to cheat death, how can this be?!” 😂😂😂😂 The sub for Rebirth is likely gonna sound completely fine. Less energy than an anime episode but good enough to not sound stilted. Definitely wanna see how the dub sounds even though I plan to play subbed.

Great comment. Agree. From what I’m hearing the Dub so far feels kinda uninspired. The pacing of the delivery is weird, with exceptions, most actors just kinda sound like they’re going through the motions. Because of how much ground they had to cover story wise, and ir all being voice acted, I’m sure they stuck with one or two takes at most and moved on.
