Yes it is better than gta6, I loved SE 5, a bit higher difficulty were great, but this special Athmosphere from SE 5 let me go so deep in it, I enjoyed every second and played it so slow and intense, know every rock of every level and I am sure I will love this upcoming SE 5.2 more than any other shooter that will come this or next year👍👌😍🙌

I was very excited when I saw the new sniper games announced. One of he biggest issues in today's gaming world is games are taking years to develop. If releasing an expansion of basically the same game means updates every two years I'm fully supporting. Also very pleased to see it in gamepass, rebellion must have seen good results from sniper elite 5 on gamepass

I hope they bring back the wind from Sniper Elite 4. The non existent or "realistic" wind from SE5 is one of the reasons it's boring to play. It's become a center of crosshairs shooter like any other game. If they don't bring that back, then I'm looking more forward to something from the Sniper Ghost Warrior franchise, and that's coming from someone who has over 2,000 hours in the Sniper Elite franchise, vast majority of that being SE4. Also, take away the ability to heal yourself when you go down in Coop Survival. That ruined the comraderie where you were dependent on your teammates to help get you up. Now people just go play lone wolf all the time and makes it less fun. Also, take away the lame white outlines on the last 5 enemies on Authentic, whoever came up with that idea for Authentic needs their head examined.

I have to admit, I'm shouting "take my money" right now, it looks a good game, and i'm sure I'll be more than happy with it! one observation. That damn, looks a lot like the damn that's in SE5? I wonder if it is an extension of the map? If not those snow capped mountains in the background of the damn shot, I wonder if the location for Harry is moved to the Vercour region of France during WW2? (near to the Swiss border) where large groups of the Resistance were hiding out, so making that shoot out more likely? Now seeing that the Gestapo have been introduced into the game I would love to have a mission where we have to stealthily break into or enter by disguise into their HQ to rescue someone/ something (no loud kills or automatic fail) Also does this mean another "Kill Hitler" mission will come along?! I see this as more of a SE5.5, possibly to keep us sweet with possible release delays with SE6 maybe? All in all an excellent review BB, now all i need is a release date and how much to pay to pre-order!

The idea of a spin-off with different chararacters is really good. As you said, this allows the game to go around in different fronts. I am not sure about Harry Hawker looking like a fat drunkard, though. The double-chin makes him look like Luc Besson, which I guess is fitting to a game set in France. I will love to play as Anya Bochkareva in Stalingrad. I also would love to help liberate Paris as Marie Chevalier, since she is the "official" French sniper of the series. I also liked how the Rebellion Devs finally woke from their slumber and added the French weapons I spent two years asking for - albeit I didn't see the Lebel in there. I suggested Karl's paratrooper outfit, as I also suggested the bayonet and paratroopers. I hope we finally get enemy troops jumping into combat (and maybe even friendly ones). I also hope they get the French resistance fighting by our side - and in a more active role. Will they finally bring back tank crews? I hope so.

Though I would disagree that Ghost Recon is just a modern era Sniper Elite, as they are completely different games with a very different focus. I do agree that ‘older’ timelines suit this style of game better, I personally would love to see a Korean/Vietnam war era game. Yeah Rebellion dont like the invader killing allies. Did you see my short of back when the game first came out. I discovered the Invader could kill allied NPCs 🤣 Rebellion patched it out almost instantly when i showed them. Im glad i managed to record it before they removed it!

I like the look of the mission where you can be a battlefield sniper as I think that adds a good bit of variation. I would like to see the realistic difficulty be more like a sniper simulator that encourages stealth, infiltration, positioning, tactics and timing. Most importantly more consequences of your actions in the map. In SE5 even on hard difficulty if you do a side mission first to blow up a radio tower or something, the rest of the map acts as if nothing has happened at all. Even guards patrolling right underneath it didn't seem to respond. I find that as long as you're not seen when you kill someone and you hide the body/evidence the environment or consequence of that action doesn't change. More consequence and reaction to guards going missing, or not being at their post etc would be interesting and more realistic and make you think before you act. This could be offset with more 'accidental deaths'. Maybe it would be too hard but it would be a great challenge that once the enemy becomes aware of your presence that there is more awareness from all or most enemies on the map for the rest of the mission and that some even spend the rest of the mission actively looking for you, rather than just returning to their posts after 5 mins as if nothing had happened. I guess that's a long winded way of saying it would be great for the AI to be a bit more dynamic.

The nicer thing about it being a game instead of a another season pass DLC is my game pass subscription already pays for it; don't have to pay extra money on top for the DLC as did for SE5. That it is just SE5+ probably explains why it has the XB1 and PS4 support. Rebellion clearly didn't feel supporting the old platforms limited the game experience (right or wrong), or were not in a position to make and effective use of removing those limitations. It could be the game experience will be different, but not likely. But they better have fixed the damn equipment wheel. Irritating every time I play the game, on my XB1. Spend 3 seconds trying to pick teller mine alt mode, not TNT, or throwing a grenade when it wasn't even on grenade. Guessing we won't get trip mines back. If it's too much work to integrate the mine type for campaign/survival, at least put in a third teller mode with a string.

I hope SE6 is current gen only as well, but i understand why Rebellion keep releasing on the older gen. It does makes sense here i suppose seeing as this is essentially just SE5 again. I fully expect SE6 to be current gen only though. As far as the next setting I'd be happy with Pacific, Eastern Front, or even a SE3 remake as i love the Africa setting, I'd also be fine with a V2 remake, a huge bombed out Berlin to explore wouod be nice, V2 is pretty dated now. I hope they stick with WW2 but I'd also be excited to try a Sniper Elite game set in Vietnam.
