Before this interview, I had not heard of this filmmaker. I like his story and will look for his work. One perspective he may want to consider is BALANCE. There seems to be unintended sexism in vision and storytelling. Men are referred to as men while women are referred to as "girls." Flip the descriptions to women and "boys" and there may be a WoW moment. Also, the filmmaker seems more critical about women's behavior and less so about men's behavior. For example, some bridesmaids are having affairs with some grooms. The unintended focus is on the women's behavior, but not on the men's behavior. And, in another moment (41:04) the filmmaker talks about single parenting. He references Mom's boyfriends but not Dad's girlfriends. Unintended sexism is a real thing, but with a little mindfulness it doesn't have to be. ☮️💜
