REVEALED: Transformers Takara-TOMY Missing Link Sunstreaker & Cordon | TF-Talk

Since the Missing Link and the Retro series are somewhat connected to each other, I have made a theory for the two Sunstreakers in the 1986 movie. I personally think that Cordon is the Sunstreaker on the shuttle with Optimus Prime, while the real Sunstreaker was helping Kup, Hound, Bluestreak, and Huffer with the roadblock. This makes sense for a few reasons. 1. The Lookout Mountain is where Sunstreaker first appeared in the movie. 2. In the storyboard scene, Sideswipe would participate in the Battle of Autobot City with Ultra Magnus, Tracks, and Red Alert in bringing down Devastator! Since there are an inseparable pair of brothers, it would only make sense for them to be Autobot City together. 3. Cordon's bio has a reserved Autobot Trooper fits the shuttle Sunstreaker better than Tigertracks, whose bio has him as a sentry who does more of patrol duty at Autobot installations.

Yeah it's weird but believe it, the Sunstreaker mould is a huge thing for Takar Tomy as it was the very FIRST car robot toy made by the grandfather of Transformers. Heck just check out the Transformers slag podcast about it and it's a very interesting story
