I feel no shame in admitting that I had a very wrong impression of Shahzad Akbar. Great interview: that sheds light on how challenging and frustrating it may be to operate in a corrupt system when there is no authority, and you must take full responsibility. I feel bad for criticizing IK during his time as PM. I am going to give an unpopular opinion, but IK and Nawaz Shareef, at some level, should reach a consensus to push the Army back to its constitutional bounds. They (the Army) consistently benefit from the discord between the political forces. Wajahat, Thanks for this interview; you are a fantastic interviewer.

An understanding can only materialize when trust is present. The political background of both are an antithesis of one another. One allegedly is soaked with corruption while the other strives for transparency and honesty. The Establishment supposedly has the power, thus purportedly runs the show. The system is replete with immoral practices - this is a fact if nothing else is crystal clear. This is what needs immediate attention and everything else can fall into place eventually. PPP and PMLN already have a pact but are still running into difficulties. NS was relieved from his duties multiple times but still mended ends and keeps coming back. Comparatively, IK was only ousted once and stands strictly against the adminstrative body. This means that the former is willing to compromise irrespective of what circumstances may be, while the latter has learned his lesson within the very first attempt. Study the vision of both parties and do a comparison of their focus when in power. Is there anything suggestive of amalgamation? I think striking differences in approaches may not entertain the idea of joining hands.

Pakistan Army is very important for the civilians of this country. But it does not gives to any individual of this force to think that he is so powerful and he is untouchable and above the law. Imran Khan was an elected elected Prime Minister, it’s his proghtive to take decision to whom he think to be his DG ISI or COAS any BPS- 21 or BPS- 22 government servants should be placed as per his selection. Any senior government servant has no right to claim to hold the position if his boss is not willing to be on that spot after Prime Minister loosing his faith and confidence of any individual which is on sensitive position. It’s need legislation to fix this issue once for ever. New security force NATIONAL GUARDS need to be established without any political interference in Islamabad Federal Territory of 600 to 800 highly trained educated male and female agents. They should take charge of PM House, PM Secretariat, Aidan-e-Sadr and remove army personals which are serving. No interference from Army, Rangers and Police is allowed. Prime Minister and President of Pakistan must always feel more comfortable than present. These National Guard must have its own training school where they get COMMANDO TRAINING within six months. The more Army officials kept away from these places, they can concentrate on boarder security and terrorism. VVIP Security need changes in Blue Book Instructions, no hold of road traffic for VVIP’s nor police routes unnecessary. Get modernize CCTV with Control Centres to monitor.
