Colby Gerrish on our team often has the goal of “identify anything that may be playable” pleak was a card that he thought maybe could play a role, we chatted about it for a bit. Idk at this time that Pleak will be a card that will be good enough after testing more with the card since release.

4:28 new amethyst genie does not draw upon playing himself. His ability is not active until he resolves into play

Huh? I’m fairly certain that you draw a card with Genie as soon as you put him on the board.

The 4 cost evasive one yes, but not the shift 5 playing card draw a card. He has to finish resolving himself before his ability would be active on board to trigger from being played. I misread which card was being talked about in this section. My bad.

I play more casually, but usually run Tipo at 4. His stats are kind of nothing and once he's gotten his effect off, so I can MAYBE quest with him all of once since he's fairly prone to removal. Which is part of why I like Pleakley so much. I can potentially get Tipo's effect off and then drop Pleakley and just dump Tipo into my inkwell... which works out fine since I'm also feeding Oswald at the same time.

Depends what you’re running already. Everyone has their own version of Blurple. For me, I cut the 4 detective mickeys and added 4 sail the az sea. Cut the snakes to 2 because I’m looking to ramp on 2 with either Tipo or Az Sea every single game. I added those 2 free cards to the new Genie that draws a card. So in turn 3 you can almost always play either a rabbit or genie and keep your hand fresh after dumping an extra card into your inkwell with Tipo/Az Sea. Then turn 4 looking to play Elsa or Belle (I run 4 of them. Turn 4 Elsa or Belle and sometimes turn 4 Elsa and turn 5 Belle is the best way Blurple can clear boards currently). From there, shift an 8 cost Elsa, drop a castle/library, bounce your farm animals, etc. Tl;Dr basically only using Sail the Azurite Sea and the new Genie currently. I view it as an upgrade for my own list while keeping the fundamentals similar. One option I’ve played around with is the new 6 cost Hades. I cut from 3 libraries to 2 and dropped a goat to play with 2 of them. Reason being that Library and Goat provide you advantage when your characters get removed, so Hades fills a similar role. He was just kinda clunky. Needs more testing.

In the aggro steel song why not do the 2 drop Simba over that steel Simba. Its better in my opinion but thats just my opinion

What about Calhoun in a little bit more aggro Emerald/steel? i played the deck a bit and sometimes you really struggle making Lore consistently. This card can be a good removal for decks that run Tipo, Sisu and other little things meanwhile taking some good lore

Rabbit is superior if you’re only playing 1 of them. The draw when banished/bounced is stronger than Genie’s extra lore/evasive/+1 willpower, which seems crazy, but it’s true. Card draw is king, and rabbit does it better than any other card in the entire game.

I fail to see how it’s better than Ariel. Ariel almost always quests for 5 in blue/steel, and she has Ward. Unless the opponent be preps or plays big tink and sings grab your swords same turn, she’s almost a guaranteed 5 lore when she is played. Ralph’s lack of Ward is the difference here.

@@TheForbiddenMountain Yeah true, but I feel like the broom and followers happen consistently enough, its really the 0/1 line that gets me more than anything cause I have used my 1 drops to clean up aggro boards t3 kinda thing as well like going into Bansai or Cursed Merfolk.

​@@UnitedMandrakes This is just my opinion and experience, but there have been often way too many times my chernabog or brooms gets baboomed or something before I see the card draw so having this diablo and kuzco for guaranteed card draw is nice and I'll definitely be getting 4 copies

@@razorsean9801They get baboomed etc because they are a multi threat card. Diablo does nothing if you just leave it. And if you’re playing a more aggro deck, it’s a massive burden. You can’t even use Crab to power it up to take out Daisy like you can with Broom.
