Beautiful Palace. Castles have always facinated me since childhood. I have no idea why, but the idea of living in one has always appealed to me. I doubt I'll ever get to actually live in one though, but visiting one would be nice.

At least the Spanish royal family's picture is very decent, unlike the new King Charles portrait! 😢Here's a trivia: do you know that the Philippines was named after Philip II? Spain and the Philippines have deep roots (I have Spanish blood from my mom's side). And gosh that Stradivarius, I could only wish to play one of those. Oh I would surely love to visit the Prado Museum if I'm in Madrid! But the Prado Mona Lisa looks a bit surreal if not disconcerting haha.

At the Prado, there is space to exhibit only one-eighth of its collection. A few years ago, a study was conducted on some paintings stored there, including that Gioconda, and it was determined to be a copy made in Leonardo's own workshop. Thus, it was considered that, even if only for the curiosity of being a copy "authorized" by the artist himself (if he hadn't liked it, it would have been destroyed), it deserved to be displayed.
