@@jianzhanglee8045 minimum has to 100 shares in quantity, that's why u hear of Amazon and Google (not stock recommedation) having stock splits soon, 1 of the benefits is making ppl accumulate increments of 100 shares easier.options sellers improve the liquidity for stocks buyers and sellers in the long run, of course not forgetting gamblers (options buyers). Gone are the days of shares borrowing and lending services when you have to let brokerage firms match the borrower and lender offline, now everything is online and transparent in that sense.

I have got like 180 TSLA shares. I have refused to sell covered calls on tsla because I think this stock has huge potential upside. But now, with the recent tech sell off together with inflation/war/covid, I am thinking of building my portfolio further with covered calls on tsla.(risk of getting assigned and shares called away). I'm doing CC on Tesla so i will be biased, yes i think selling CC is a good idea. The trick is, sell at price distance as far as you can. I'm selling around 30% distance, with 4 weeks to expiry. Or if you are more cautious, u can sell at 35-40% price distance

If u are young, don’t have to go for dividends stocks. Because the dividend to us is useless right now. Aim for higher return first
