🐀 Revealing the secret snitch who brought down the narcos 🇺🇸 🇲🇽 🇨🇦

MY EXCLUSIVE report on the snitch who brought down the narcos. Many secrets were left out of the FBI’s news of busting large smuggling rings moving dope from Mexico to Los Angeles and into Canada. But don’t worry, I’m here to spill them. Let me tell you about it.
The Mob Reporter here with my news on the U.S. Department of Justice’s sweeping cross-border cocaine and meth smuggling investigations called Operation Dead Hand, and particularly of the informant at the epicentre of it all - how he was recruited, what he did, and his incredible meetings with accused Mexican drug lords, American traffickers, and Canadian mobsters. While wearing a wire. In Mexico’s cartel heartland. Think about that for a moment.
The traffickers used Signal, an encrypted messaging app. End-to-end encryption can be great at holding secrets, but not if one of the ends is compromised. Every text, every phone call, every photo he sent or received was collected by the FBI.
Two related federal indictments named 19 people accused of running the dope north, using a network of long-haul truck drivers as couriers to get it across the U.S.-Canada border. 15 of them were arrested. Four more, two of them accused Mexican narcos, were named as wanted fugitives.
One network allegedly had a leadership tier of Eduardo Carvajal, 50, of Guadalajara, Mexico; Jesus Ruiz Sandoval Jr., 45, of Guadalajara, Mexico; John Joe Soto, 42, of Guadalajara, Mexico; and Roberto Scoppa, 55, of Montreal, Canada.
Scoppa shares a notorious family name. His brothers Andrea (Andrew) Scoppa and Salvatore Scoppa were influential Mafia leaders in Montreal before they were killed in 2019 during a mob war.
The other network was allegedly run from Canada by Guramrit Sidhu, 60, of Brampton, northwest of Toronto. Under them, the FBI alleges, were an assortment of Canadian truckers and U.S. distributors. One man from Long Beach, California, identified by the FBI as Carlos Barragan allegedly worked for both rings.
Now, you need to know that I obtained U.S. documents that were recently unsealed in court, including grand jury indictments and lengthy affidavits sworn by FBI agents that summarize their operations. The allegations contained in the documents have not yet been tested in court. None of the accused have yet had an opportunity to mount their defence in court, and one of their lawyers cautioned me that, quote, “The allegations are not necessarily accurate in all respects.”
The secret double life of the snitch officially ended on Jan. 30, 2024, when a press conference was called in Los Angeles to reveal Operation Dead Hand. By then search warrants and arrest warrants had been executed in California, Florida, Texas, Quebec, Ontario, and Alberta. The five arrested in Canada face extradition to the United States. In California, those in custody started making appearances in court. As for the snitch, his identity remains protected and, so far, he has not been named.

True, if it is wireless it will transmit the signal, which can be detected with a scanner, but it seems like the cartels didn’t suspect anything, probably because some shipments went through. If they had caught every shipment he was involved with he wouldn’t be breathing, but likely the FBI only intercepted parts of the shipments he was responsible for to catch some bigger fish, as well as avoiding putting their informant in a potentially dangerous situation.

Yep, back in my parents country, the CIA supplied the Hmong people weapons, recruited kids as young as 10 years old to fight for them in the secret war, and they trafficked lots of opium for the Hmong people. Honestly, should've been called OPERATION SLOW CLAP by the Feds -- literally none of these connects would've happened without the entrapping turncoat, probably trying to get out of a shty possession+other charge he had no chance of beating. It is interesting to consider how many of these drug dog's deceptive doings are staged. I don't have any problem with that, but it is interesting nonetheless. I used to drive long haul trucks. I have seen a dog alert on a truck and get a smack for it and the truck let go. At a Border Patrol checkpoint I once had a drug dog "alert" on my truck. It was my truck, I cleaned it and had total responsibility for it. Nobody else had ever driven it or been in it. I say that because I can say inequitably there had never been any contraband in that truck. Since I knew this, I enjoyed moral high ground while giving the BP agent grief for a false alert even as his comrades tore my truck apart searching in vain.

Many of them are concocted. As long as the local officers can spot a violation - speeding, swaying over center line, unsafe load, expired tags, blocked licence plate, etc, the stop is legal. Maybe if you watch a driver long enough you can always find something. Or maybe they fake it to make it.

I got pulled over all the time for 'safety checks.' Anytime you go through a weigh station they can randomly pull you in and search your truck for hours if they feel like.
