What do you mean by that? Didn't you watch the video? The man was a Christian(Christian is used a lot, but it means living a holy life to glorify God, not you) Pride is the usual cause of people not preaching the Gospel to souls that are headed to hell. Willing to die for Christ. Contrary to Prosperity-no-suffering preachin' goin' on today. You would be considered a hypocrite if you call yourself christian and don't share your faith to others no matter the climate of society at the time.

Your story is different from the book , you forgot that uncle Tom was betrayed by his slave master who is a Christian
@friendsandfamilycontractor5813

Just from reading these comments I see how people struggle. We are too focused on tittles. Just because you call yourself Christian does not make you better than anyone else. Its about your actions that truly judge your alignment with the higher power. It can also be argued that Uncle Tom loved his master more than he loved his wifr and child. What were they struggling with? He made a choice to prioritize others over them. I respect your interpretation, but we must respect others also.

king Philip open the book. Or keep worshipping Satan, you heard what the man said! A person of god can only give so much before a follower of Satan takes the last piece, then poof....he gave his all. So go give a piece to the book before you keep giving yourself to satan and his blasphemy.

@AshleyBohaa

🙄 Uncle tom is a character in the book. Maybe you should read it and understand what the true meaning is for yourself. Who Uncle tom was and what he stood for. Like he said Abraham Lincoln told the author harriet beecher Stowe "so you are the little woman who wrote the book that started this great war." She was an abolitionist (anti slave activist). Decide for yourself don't go off just what you here other uniform people saying.

The democrats at that time were the Conservative party in America. So pinning the blame it on modern liberals kinda like getting arrested your great grand dad for his crime. Secondly the banning of the book had more to do with the anti-slavery movement, nothing to do with Christianity per se. The book itself was written as an anti slavery literature at that time.
@CoolArrow78233
@CoolArrow78233 6 жыл бұрын
Iconoklazt 1080 that’s wrong. The myth that there was some “great party switch” and that now the democrats are the good guys is completely false. The KKK were democrats and the republican party started out of abolitionists. It was only when the south left behind its racist history that it became more and more conservative. The democrats have always and continue to be a party of slave masters.

Seriously!!!?!?! This is the safest and sickest thing I've ever heard!!! I am hoping that this is a very badly executed joke because if you are really that brainwashed, the level of tragedy you are spreading is astonishing. Anyone who likes this is sick and twisted. Please reevaluate the level of disconnect from anything authentic about this story, your speech and what you are falsely telling others about slavery, and why Christianity was forced on slaves. Anyone want to know what Stockholm syndrome looks like? Now you know!
@triplecheesemac
@triplecheesemac 9 жыл бұрын
+Nikki Lynne Trammell WOW...you are delusional. It is not stockholm syndrome. You missed the whole point! You are thick headed and can't interpret the story. You can't seem to put your mind in that time period. You did not understand the beginning when Lincoln told the author that she started the civil war. The uncle Tom story gave whites the perception of blacks as one of them instead of slave or an animal that preaches the word of God. In some cases even better than them because Uncle Tom puts God before himself. (You have to think in that time period) He believes in God like themselves, which gave the reader the perception of a human instead of a slave that is treated like an animal. The narrative of the author of uncle tom through story telling gave blacks human qualities and someone that the reader wanted to root for. Like Frantz also pointed out that this book was the most sold book at the time for 46 years next to the bible. Therefore it made a huge impact in the culture and perception of blacks at that time period resulting in the emancipation proclamation. In conclusion you probably is a liberal that does NOT want to know the truth anyways or study history.

So what you would rather blacks practice then? The human sacrifice tradition practiced by black tribes even TO THIS DAY?? Where little black girls are cut up ALIVE and EATEN? Go look up VICE's documentary on Liberia. Im not not Christian, but no sane person can have anything bad to say about Jesus.
