To the guy who thinks he killed his sisters cat: it actually may not have been the acetone that killed the cat, most likely it was not, because of the fact that acetone evaporates very quickly. So the likelihood of the cat consuming the acetone before it evaporated is very slim. Also, even if the cat did try to consume it, it wouldn’t have done so because it would have been disgusted by the smell of it. So all I’m saying is that the cat may have died from something else.

One year on thanksgiving my family invited my family friends over to dinner as well (including their grandpa). For context, my family has a china cabinet right near the dinner table, with quite a few family heirlooms and precious stuff. As the meal progresses, the adults are all a few drinks in, the grandpa in particular. The adults started to get up, bringing more plates of food to the table. The grandpa had the fantastic idea to lean against the china cabinet (because he was very intoxicated). As you can imagine, he knocked the china cabinet to the ground. Glass was everywhere, family heirlooms were broken, and all of the (drunk) adults were obviously annoyed. Needless to say, he didn't come to any of our thanksgiving dinners after that. My family still tells that story every year.
