Merry Yule from Sweden! Our Xmas celebration is today, Dec 24. Tomorrow is just a quiet day. Some may go to church for early mass but as we are one of the most secular countries in the world most just enjoy the day off and lots of leftover food. Personally I don't celebrate at all except for going up north to my mom's for a few days. Enjoy your holiday y'all! 🙂🐱

What I've learned over time. Is that a lot of "Christian' people. See themselves as the "end all and be all" when they accept Jesus.

Have probably mentioned this before ... December 25th was the celebration of the birthday of Prince Mithras, the Persian god of light and son of the Zorastrian Supreme god. Mithraism was very popular among the Roman army. Also December 25th was the celebration of the Roman Saturnalia. This was a time when Christians felt the need to blend in to avoid persecution. So could today's Christians be practicing "cultural appropriation"?
